Bobby didn't write it , but He made it what it is; nobody could do Rocky Top like the Osborne Brothers. Therefore he helped create it.

He sang it. He recorded it. He performed it. He popularized it. But he didn't "co-create" it, much less create it.

Welp, as a singer/songwriter, I'm qualified to opine as I did. Bobby created the style in which the song is universally preformed. Smoke on at.

I saw the Osborne Brothers in concert in Kingsport back in 1967. They were one of the opening groups for Loretta Lynn and Tom T. Hall. Just before I left for active duty in the the Navy.
Rocky Top been a favorite ever since.
