I'm sending this from my phone and I'm in a hurry but matt jones from ksr and football scoop.com are saying he is on wku's campus concerning the job. Check ksr or footballscoop.com to check it out! If they pull that off.....wow.....just wow.

Till he leaves after less than 1-2 seasons or tries screws over someone on his staff/his AD in a power play

Do you really think any good coach would stay at WKU for a long tenure? Please. Any coach would leave for a better job as soon as possible. At least they will have Petrino for a little bit.

Lots of WKU alums don't like this hire. Maybe because they know they'll be looking for a new coach as soon as next year?

Western Ky is desperate and know that they are nothing but a stepping stone to another job. If Petrino can keep his pants up, he'll be gone in less than 2 years to another school.

if he keeps his nose clean i could see him getting back in the SEC. Spurrier can't be looking to coach much longer. South Carolina could be a pretty good opening.

Having Taggart get the job at USF and now hiring Petrino will only help WKU ascend the college football ranks. Just like a good Master's program looks better when it can send quality intellects to better Ph.D programs, an athletic program that shows it can be a real place of success and a good launching pad for big-time coaching jobs will only attract other young and hungry coaches to work there.

Two to three years of winning under Petrino and then him getting an SEC job will only help WKU build the program and make it more appealing for future coaching hires.

Wow good hire. I read where there first choice, Jerry Sandusky, turned them down. Said he wanted to focus on the Elmo Puppeteer job instead.
