Boise / UGA

Fire Joe Morgan style.

Boldewijn (formerly Hiwat) was expected to be a significant contributor at receiver

Losing your #3 receiver can be oh so deadly. Did we forget Kellen Moore is the quarterback of the Boise State Broncos?

Febis, a senior, was penciled in to start at safety ... redshirt freshman Jeremy Ioane to make his first career start

Phil Steele is freaking good at this: he had Febis second on the depth chart at safety and Ioane as the starter.

Tjong-A-Tjoe, a sophomore, is the backup to Billy Winn

Which, if you know anything about Billy Winn and how much of a beast he is, meant Tjong-A-Tjoe was getting ten snaps at the most.

ESPN being ESPN.

This game and the LSU_Ducks game begs the question:

Do you ALWAYS pull for the SEC, or do you want your biggest rivals to go down in flames every game because of pure hatred and how it can affect recruiting? Just taking a survey

It doesn't really matter to me. I guess it's a game-by-game thing. Whatever team I like more, I'll root for. Or if I have that team picked in a pool like I do with another UT site, which is why I want LSU to beat Oregon.

Never pull for Bama or Florida. The others depend on how the ranking and standings look and how much coin I got on them. Got a grand on UGA +3.5 and waiting on the LSU line. Taking LSU too.

If you want to go that route (and I hate going this route), who does Aaron Murray have to throw to?

Orson Charles is one. He still has guys from last year outside of Green. I know he's a big loss but still has some WRs.

FWIW, I usually pull for the SEC because when we beat our rivals, we look better. This only worked when we were winning those games, though.

If you honestly think UGA is gioing to win you woud have taken the ML at +145 instead of the -110 you would get on the points. Amature!

I guess I'll make one last post with rationale behind my feelings on the game:

-Aaron Murray is definitely a pretty good QB and probably the best SEC QB. That "SEC" tag doesn't mean he's going to destroy one of the nation's top five defenses.
-Likewise, Georgia's defense should be good, but they're not good enough to stop an outstanding QB in Kellen Moore.
-And, without a doubt, Chris Petersen >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Mark Richt.

My only problem with this post is Boise being a top 5 defense.

Kellen Moore has the ability to pick apart, methodically. I am very excited for this game.

I always root for the SEC. However, I detest vandy and gators so much, that I would never verbally root for them for fear that I might strangle myself to prevent that.

Have to root for Texas A&M against any SEC team except the Vols. Like sex more than the other SEC teams...married to an Aggie! Haha

Count me as one who ALWAYS pulls against the SEC teams. Let me clarify, there is a heirarchy of who I root against, in order:

1. root against the other SEC East teams (SEC West over other SEC East every time)

2. root against the rest of the SEC (any out of conference team against the rest of the SEC every time, except in the third case below)

3. only root for the SEC if it were to benefit the Vols in the national rankings (ie hypothetically, I would certainly pull for Vandy to beat Oklahoma if the Vols were ranked #2 and OU were ranked #1)

Basically, I have ONE team I cheer for and it is the Vols.

Sounds like the NCAA might be questioning the 260 euros/month grant that the Dutch government gives to students.

Pollack and Smith predicted a UGA win (insert obligatory gasp here) based off Boise losing a couple of wr' in the draft. All without one mention of AJ Green.

Although this game is a "must see"... I am so conflicted that I do not know if I will watch it.

It would be easier to pull for Boise if it didn't mean they'd come around at the end of the season demanding a BCS CG berth for beating one decent team then their pathetic conference.

OTOH, the "we're going to win the NC" drivel from UGA fans might be unbearable if they win. How do you decide who to pull for when either outcome might be sickening?

They do have Tevarres returning. And he had more catches than either of our starters. Just saying..and the best TE in the conference.
