I honestly can't believe anyone could think either of these teams belong on the field with Bama, Florida, or Texas..........:crazy:

Just go ahead and deem the Fiesta Bowl the "Non-BCS Championship Game"; like this year get the 2 top non-BCS teams in there and let them play for the non-BCS National Championship. Make them a little trophy and everything.

I agree that these two programs will never be on the same level as Bama, Texas, or USC. However, I think that this matchup was a ripoff. It should have been Boise vs. Georgia Tech and TCU vs. Iowa, IMO.

Me neither but I've heard people, including a few on here, say TCU would give Bama a better game than Texas. Just the other day someone posted that TCU was the best team in Texas.

and with this current BS..I mean BCS we will NEVER know, will we?
Bama, Florida, Texas hell even teams like Vandy are scared to play a team like Boise or TCU because if they lose then it messes up THEIR chance for a BCS spot (which is kind of messed up because Bosie and TCU are ranked higher than 90% of the "big 6" conferences..you would think all the lesser and mediocre BCS schools would be begging to play the likes of Boise, TCU, Utah, BYU.)
and if a BCS school wins? oh big deal..it was only "insert school here"
screw the BCS.
you can't have a TRUE champion without a playoff.

UGA blasted boise the year after they beat OU...thats all the proof I needed I see VT doing the same thing to them next season....boise also wants 1 million bucks from the big time schools to come play them i'm sorry your boise i'm not giving you a million bucks...and there will not be playoffs anytime soon don't get your hopes up

boise also beat the pac-10 champs this year. other mid majors such as byu and utah also have proven records against top level opponents. making a blanket statement that boise or any of the other mid majors are truly non competitive against big time teams is flat out incorrect.

it's like me pointing out one loss from one season to draw a conclusion about a program.

I think one of these days a mid major is going to sneak into the title game and get obliterated by a coach who doesn't overlook them.
