Saw McCartney at the Liberty Bowl on that tour as well, was incredible. I’ve seen U2 quite a lot, they do put on a good show.Wife always been a bon jovi freak. I don't dislike them. Took her years ago to see them at Bi-Lo Center in Greenville, SC. Packed house. He did have a local opening act that was pretty decent. You could see Jon off side stage watching them. Opinions vary wildly on the band, but he is a pretty stand up guy. We saw him when Richie was with band and not in rehab. Makes a big difference in live concerts. Having said that, the 3 best concerts you get (got) for your money, IMO, as far as effort and all out performance was U2, Paul McCartney, and Bon Jovi. In no particular order. You did not get ripped off on your money. Saw McCartney at GA Dome back in early 90's. No opening act. 3.5 hours. 6 encores. Left nothing in the bucket.
I think Jon Bon Jovi is a cool dude, but never liked his music. At all. They do put on a good show though. My wife made me watch them at New Orleans Jazz Fest one year.
