Yeah if the Kentucky qb doesn’t make a perfect throw that’s an incompletion. We some times forget that the other teams have guys on scholarship too.Watch the NFL today. See how many DB's turn their heads. They are TAUGHT, COACHED, to not turn around for many reasons. Run slower, can't see the receiver, if the ball is in the air, you might lose it, etc. This stupid narrative just keeps going. It's called being in phase. Yes, some guys understand leverage and turn around and make plays. A vast majority do not. McCoy had extremely tight coverage, didn't turn around, and Maclin caught a one handed TD on him. It happens. Acting like turning your head is the remedy for any 1-1 throw is wrong. It's coached just the opposite.
I rewatched the game. As you said, Boo attempted to use his incredible speed to head off the tackler, but didn’t have enough time to get in front for the block. His reaction was that he thought Brooks should not have cut back, which shortened the tackler’s route to catch up with Brooks.Boo is anticipating the route Will should have taken to the end zone. Boo is throwing up his hands because Will should have headed towards the pylon for a better chance to take it to the house.
This was my take last night, but AP (I think) mentioned on the VQ postgame pod that Boo was cracking on Brooks because he didn’t cut it back to the sideline. So, it appears I was wrong. Don’t tell my wife…Go back and watch the end of that clip. 23 veers to the left of Brooks instead of taking on the qb and then throws a mini tantrum because Brooks didn’t lateral the ball to him.
The worst part about the defense being good is that we will have to deal with yet another year of that guyExactly like he was taught to do. I bet Martinez slams his clipboard in anger when Mccoy makes a play or pass break up looking at the ball. He was probably ****ing furious over that alabama interception. Defensive backs are meant to have no idea where the ball is and NEVER dare see the ball. Just flail your arms wildly while running into them as hard as you can and pray for the best.

When our season is ruined by a Willie Martinez special, let’s revisit your take
Top 21 in pass defense, 1st on allowing 3rd down conversions 1st on allowing 4th down conversions 4th total defence…. I’m for keeping Martinez and firing your ass
And oddly enough passing offenses have been setting records since this practice began.Watch the NFL today. See how many DB's turn their heads. I WONDER WHY????
Little one, I wonder if they were doing it when ole Norm Van Brocklin threw for 574 yds back in 1951?And oddly enough passing offenses have been setting records since this practice began.
I WONDER WHY????
lol that was not the case at all… boo was telling will that he should have veered to the left instead of back inside towards the chasing Qb… mini tantrum lolGo back and watch the end of that clip. 23 veers to the left of Brooks instead of taking on the qb and then throws a mini tantrum because Brooks didn’t lateral the ball to him.
