I’m referring to him talking when he was getting beaten, such as 2022 SC game. I have no issue with trash talk as long as it’s not before the game is played and not when getting beat. I laugh when I see players talk and taunt when they’re getting cooked. Saw that on a high school game recently, a team losing 28-0 and the kid just jawing with all his might after a tackle. I don’t get it.And until this year he was one of just two SEC-quality cornerbacks this staff has had (the other being Alontae Taylor).
I agree. I don’t mean in that regard, I just think it’s unwise to say stuff like this before the game is played because you look foolish if you don’t play well, as those two did. We still talk about that, 8 years later.Except OU's offense is very average. If bulletin board material makes them suddenly play well, Venables has some major issues.
