I heard that Saban asked the Alabama fans not to boo when Penn State takes the field. A guy on sports radio was saying there is never a good reason to boo Joe Pa.

There seems to me to be several good reasons to boo...

They are an out of conference rival that has achieved historical greatness in part by playing a weaker schedule than you have played as an SEC school. They have lots of band wagon fans (not as many as ND but still a sizable number) and a larger group of felon fans than most schools.

The biggest reason to me to boo him is not pooing his pants on the sideline or hitting someone with his car, it is because of Rashard Casey....

Jury nullification does not change the fact that Rashard Casey attacked Patrick Fitzimmons while yelling racist things. It also means that for Joe Pa to mete out zero punishment shows his priorities as a person.

Boooo.

It's poor form, IMO.

Boo the hell out of an SEC rival tho.

Kind of hard to tell fans to boo a man who is old enough to have personally shook the hand of Jesus.

Outside the conference I do not act rude to opposing fans, but I do boo their teams.

The only teams that I truly despise and I hope lose every game are ND, USC and Michigan.

I wouldnt "boo" JoePa. He's one of the few, if not the last, icons left as a head coach.

He's heard boos from every crowd in every stadium that he's traveled to during his 230 year career. It's expected. I don't think he gives a damn, and neither should Bama fans.

It really doesn't matter whether Saban asks them not to boo or not; some people will. Some of our idiot fans booed the Air Force cadets a few years ago.

em boys had no right cumin into are stadium like at.

You would think that the drunk-and-hollering region of their brains would have been overruled by the "America, Fsck Yeah!" military-worshiping part. Maybe they didn't realize that "Air Force" refers to our actual Air Force.

I'm laughing at the thought of the team that does the Rammer Jammer chant every game trying to avoid booing a team because they don't want to offend a coach looks like a grandfather.

If you're going to avoid booing someone, don't boo military academies.

How can Joe Pa mete out any punishment when the guy doesn't even know where he is or what game he is involved in. The entire J.P. coaching charade is ridiculous. J.P. isn't coaching anything. He is merely hanging around long enough to have enough victories that no one will be able to surpass him. PSU is a big joke for allowing this "pretension" of J.P. coaching, to continue. J.P. has had his day in the sun and needs to bail out with dignity. Actually he should have done that long ago, or the admin at PSU should have carried out their intention to terminate him some time ago. PSU is never going to really compete with Michigan (they will be back) and OSU until the old man turns over the reins to someone who is really coaching, and not playing the, "sit in the press box on Saturday," game.
