For anyone who was in attendance or maybe caught it on T.V., did the crowd boo Holly? I have seen posts on Instagram where the crowd booed Holly for something. Anyone know why?

Oh OK. That didn't make sense. That's why I say we really need a new coach. Look at Notre Dame's Madison Cable or Makayla Mabrey who are deadly shooters. They are not much more athletic than Dunbar, Dunbar is actually bigger which could cause mismatches, but Notre Dame's staff knows how to utilize both players and they have improved yearly. This team has the talent, athletic ability and size to be a Final Four team if they had strong coaching.

It would be nice if Holly used Dunbar effectively. Holly shows little sign of knowing when to use her or in what combination with other players, or where to put her on the floor.

However, Dunbar is very poor defensively. She can't keep anybody in front of her and is slow to get back. She is a pretty good rebounder, though.

she's a terrible rebounder but if she does get her hands on the ball she keeps it instead of dropping it or throwing it into the cheap seats. She has very good hands and is strong.

She has no idea how to use her body to get rebounding position, imho

And apparently she hasn't been taught (coached) on this...oh wait, we don't have any competent coaches...that explains it. FIRE HOLLY DOOLEY WARLICK NOW!!!

Dunbar is not the best on defense but when she gets her hands on the ball behind the arch its going in... She has such a pretty shot, against A&M she drilled those 3's.. I like Dunbar a lot with the right coaching she could be deadly... Holly is clueless when it comes to Dunbar, Pat never pulled Conklin or Spencer that fast Holly needs to learn game management

Gule, a lot of those things can be improved with proper coaching. If a player can develope a physical mindset, they can be taught to use thier body for position and physicality. I use to teach smaller players how to use their bodies inside, by getting inside position. I taught them to use their rears so that taller players would bump them while going over their backs. Nina Davis, of Baylor, is a prime example of a smaller players, 5'11", that is one of women's top rebounders. It is position, physicality and in Nina's case, her vertical. What Kourtney lacks in vertical, can be made up, to some degree, by physicality.

Kourtney has massive shoulders and an overall physical body. I think, if coached correctly, Kourtney could be a force both inside and outside. Whoever is the HC, next year, will need to coach Kourtney how to use what she has been gifted with, to be a good everyday player. What choice will they have since she will be one of our taller players? The success of next year's team will depend upon how much coaches work with the players and if they, the players, go to the gym, and to the weight room, to improve their skills.

When she pulled Dunbar right after she drilled a three....

What coach in the world hasn't done this?
However,
coaching etiquette would be to not let her sit down, instead making her go right back in for anyone.

This is not an admittance of an error for a coach. Or to appease the crowd... It is just the right thing to do.

It is an admittance of bad timing that can be corrected on the spot.

Spot up shooters have made their way before. They are all over the NBA. mediocre defenders who are too proficient to ignore.... Here what I said, ?.. "Too proficient to ignore".

An excellent stand-still decoy can still concern a defense. And bad defenders. If you need someone to work with her on mirroring, jab-stepping, closing out and def. foot-work,,, IM me.

The reason she is so poor is because of the 1st class coaching she has had since she has been here!

Warlick, whom I would not describe as, er, brilliant, has not given Dunbar enough sustained playing time to see how she could perform on offense or defense. How the coach of a team that cannot shoot and cannot score does not play her best shooter for more than 6 minutes sums--for me, anyway--the problems with this coach. How to deploy her on defense might be a challenge--but that's the point: If you're struggling, at least be creative. I was glad to hear that we pressed a lot yesterday. If we're going to do that, it might be good to get Jackson some PT as well as she is made for pressing defense, no?

She took Dunbar out because she wanted to press in that last minute. That was decided before Dunbar hit the three. When she took her out, my first thought was "why???" But once I saw us pressing, I understood.
