Booing?

As a neutral observer I think you guys could use more offensive players in the game; your defense is fine.

This LV team cannot stop anybody unless they press hard and turn them over. It's the weakest rebounding LV team in memory. The game against UGA for example was a resounding blowout, right? Except UGA scored 56 points in 28 minutes of play after a miserable 1st qtr. That's a basket a minute. At that rate UGA scores 80 for the whole game.

Of course it's a 4 qtr game and the LV's did in fact blow them out. That fact notwithstanding, the defense is not fine. It just so happens the offense is worse.

I personally don't boo teams that I am a Fan of

Shame on fans that do. I dislike Holly's coaching style, because it makes me wonder most of the time if she is for real, but I refuse to boo her or team or hope we lose. I believe that in the end Holly is going to coach and recruit herself out of a job.

I'm more worried about the recruiting than I am coaching,the open shots have been there,they either hesitate and pass or get in a hurry and throw up a shot,or make a really poor pass that ends up in a turn over

the plays have been there,execution hasn't been,the up tempo the last game seems to be the way for them to go,so they don't have time to think

I agree with you about the recruiting. I just don't see any top recruits coming with this coaching staff here. If what is being said on the AAU circuit is true, I can I Holly and this staff striking out again. I wish Holly will just hang it up at the end of the season? How is she going to persuade or what is she going to sell to Elite recruits to get them to come?

the scenario that riles me with this group is one oi see all to often... Dd has the ball with 14,passes to Cater 11, Carter passes over an open look and forces a pass back to DD 6, DD has to create something... result, DD gets a lower shooting percentage and Carter is unblemished.

she's a terrible rebounder but if she does get her hands on the ball she keeps it instead of dropping it or throwing it into the cheap seats. She has very good hands and is strong.

She has no idea how to use her body to get rebounding position, imho

Is that on her or on the coaching staff?

The subs were already at the scorers table before KD made the shot.

You can always pull them from the scorers table and they do not have to check in, after she made the shot they had to have a stoppage of play (which occurred while we were on defense) therefore she had time to pull graves from the table or tell graves to sub for someone else and to leave Dunbar in the game

I would worry about both. If I am a knowledgeable parent, I would wonder about several things when it comes to Holly:

1. The word on the AAU grapevine is not complementary;
2. The program's recruiting collapse;
3. The program's inability to live up to its hype;
4. A coach who has openly said it is not her job to motivate;
5. A coach who has openly stated she does not know what the problem is;
6. A coach who is having issues coaching 7 McD-A's; and
7. The lack of improvement of the program's present team.

This team has a lot of negatives associated with the players attitudes and bad coaching ideology. The question was asked if player rebounding, being in the correct position on both sides of the ball, on the coaching or on the players? It can be both. As a coach it was my responsibility to identify player weaknesses and try to correct those weaknesses. It was up to the player to make every effort to improve their weaknesses in official practice or practice on their own. In the end it was all on me and not the players. If the player just was not getting it, mentally or laziness, it was up to me to play them or bench them. My responsibility was the success of the entire team. That did not mean that I stopped working with a particular player. Looking at Russell, and other players, I would say that we have the talent but not the coaching that we need to bring out every players' potential.
