Books that should be Movies?

In the works, but I'll believe it when I see it, was originially supposed to be this year. Kinda torn on this one, one of my favorite books but might be tough to pull off.

Blood Meridian (2011) - IMDb

There's been a lot of McCarthy love from the movies in recent history but Suttree might be a little bit harder of a sell then No Country or The Road. Having spent my 4 years in Knoxville while at UT, I'd love to see it though. Would be cool to see them recreate it during that time period.
You are probably right...but the characters are so raw, and human. Can you imagine what they could do with Harrogate? That would be a remarkable and memorable film role.

Hawke by Ted Bell would make a kick arse action movie. Lead character is former british special forces who happens to be the richest dude in the world and now does free lance intelligence work for the British government on the side. Combination of James Bond, Magnum PI & Bill Gates. Totally plausible.

Ender's Game: If done right, would be disturbingly brilliant.
The Parcifal Mosaic: Good Ludlum Book
The Materese Circle: Another good Ludlum, probably better for movie.
Cardinal of the Kremlin: Favorite Clancy, more spy like than his others.

Watermelon fetish angle? Not sure how big an audience there is out there for that, though.

You're right though, done well, it has the potential to be really good.

This is true. When I read the book and got to that part I was like wtf?

this one and Clancy's "The Bear and the Dragon"

Since we're on the subject of Clancy, a movie based on the novel "Rainbow Six" would be great, but the general public would probably think it was based on the video games.

Harry Pot-head.

They've already done "Vampires Suck" in accordance with the Twilight Saga.

I think HP needs a spoof.

Just kidding.

I think "The Magician's Nephew" would make an interesting movie, I'm just not sure Hollywood could pull it off without political correctness ruining it.

All this Clancy talk got me thinking Without Remorse would make a great a movie. Checked IMDB and they're supposed to be releasing it this year, but then I saw it has been modernized and unfortunately not set in the '70s.

I don't know if you guys have ever read "The Charm School" by Nelson Demille, but it would be an outstanding movie.
