I looked at the Hoka slides since they're $15 cheaper, but those color schemes are hideous. Hokas supposedly have a wider footbed, which I think I'd want. I don't have wide feet, but I like more room. I will likely try out a pair of the all black hoka slides. which will only make my colorful running socks look even worse in them.

The one thing I like about the Fannings that only the teva's compare, that the Hokas and most others are bad about, is being slippery when they get wet. The crocs are the worst. I nearly broke my ankle in them and that's something you need to be aware of with the Hokas because of how thick they are.
