You're right, I'm officially retiring from the VN board. I find the homerism here second-to-none. Whenever there's an arrest of a UT player, the police overreacted. Any player from another school arrested brings out the "the player should be sent packing" crowd. More than half of you were ready to fire Dooley after last season, but now are predicting that UT will have the best offense in the country. I wonder how long it'll take the "fire Dooleys" to come out once that proves false. Some of you are knowledgeable and realistic. Others of you are just plain.....................not. It's been real. :wavey:

They're comical aren't they, UGA fans that is. I knew when I saw this thread that one maybe two particular UGA posters would get on here crying about it and sure enough, one of them did. You could prove them wrong in a court of law and they'll still argue with you. Oh well, its still fun mess with them though.

I guess we need to cut them a little slack on this board I mean they have dawgpost and the AJC. :)

Boy you got that right. The # 1 under achieving program of the last 20 years. The state produces enough high school talent to provide a core for probably 15 major schools (including Tennessee) and they have nary a crystal football. I hope Richt stays many many years.

Fulmer WAS UT's problem. Richt IS UGA's problem.

I was always a fan of Fulmer. The guy used to beat the crap out of us back in the 90's. My point is that it would be very stupid on my part to wish for a rival to keep a HC that has a winning record against our team, just doesn't make sense to me. Just my opinion.

Just out of curiousity, and I swear I don't mean to come accross as a smartazz. Do you know all of the facts in this case and/or what has been reported so far?

Witnesses say that the girl pushed/shoved your starting DB and he reacted. There is also other witnesses that say your starting DB hit the female. Richt made his own investigation and determined a 2 game suspension before the university or legal system has determined anything.

Given above, I do not know all the facts just as you do not as well as Richt as the legal/university investigation is still in process.

CMR will suspend players just for getting arrested, regardless of what happens in the court system.

I am in no way defending Sanders. Domestic issues are always very complicated. FWIW, several witnesses have come forward to defend Sanders. You're acting as if he has already been convicted.

I have no problem with the punishment, it sets a great example for the young players.
