Only if you went on the UGA chat boards. I visited some of them. They had idiots on their calling for Richt's head just like we have folks on here calling for Fulmer's. They exist in every fan base.
Yeah... Like the athletics department pays any attentions to a bunch of knuckleheads like us.

I understand the stats.

The point is that even UGA with its recent success has a faction that was calling for Richt's head a couple weeks ago, after having a tough season (losing to Vandy, UK, and getting played close by the doormat teams in Mississippi.) Their arguments, despite the SEC titles, are similar to some of ours: Richt can't coach in big games, UGA coaches can't develop talent, all the other schools in the conference are going to pass them by.

Fade's point was well taken, at least by me.

St. Mark has had UT's number for the most part, but I will say this. He had NC talent in '04. I think that was his real shot at championship. They seem to be reloading now, but teams like he had then do not come along that often.

I don't have my ear to the ground in GA like I used to, but despite Richts coaching record at UT, he still has a long way to go. I nice start would be learning how to beat the Gators.

It'll never happen. Richt is in Athens til he dies or gets fired. After that performance in Auburn, the Dawgs just saved their season and their coach from the hot seat.
FSU is on his contract as the one place he can always talk to.

Laugh while you can. Pretty soon, FSU and the "U" will have new coaches and you'll be back to rooting for the third best team in your own state.

Unlike you hat, I cannot predict the future. All I know is that right now both FSU and UM are imploding. UM is in need of a major overhaul, from top to bottom. Could be a long time, if ever, before they make it back onto the national scene.

If your kid were picking a school to play DL, would you even let him visit UM right now? Nope.

And FSU has something going on internally. I wonder whether there is a real split on the team based on race, or whether the players have simply given up. Something is clearly broiling there beneath the surface. With a change in coaching, it might be able to be fixed. But at the moment they are clearly in a mjor funk.

Richt might go coach in the pro's. Thats will be his only move, if there is one.

I like that move for him.

Not even slightly.

I think Richt is going to be at UGA for awhile.

But I suspect you are right. What a great job.

FSU is on his contract as the one place he can always talk to.

I did not know that. But it makes sense. I am sure there are all sorts of considerations for him in deciding betwen staying at UGA and going back to FSU as HC and that we will never know them all.

Why wouldn't I? The "U," along with Tennessee, do as good a job as anyone in producing NFL D-Linemen.

First, the U has done a good job, but now I think you will see a real fall of in their production of that caliber of talent. Takes a few years to see it as the kids recruited make their way through and the pump runs dry.

Second because if he doesn't get drafted or make an NFL team, when he goes to get a job at a stock trading company and says he played DL at University of Miami, I think he's got a strike against him.

That's funny, given that US News & World Reports just listed the "U" as having the best MBA program in the state of Florida.

Yet another person who simply ignores the facts. Allvol posted an article the other day everyone should read. Compare UT's record of off field arrests the last 10 years to the "U's," then get back to me.

The fact that I went to the game was enough

Your criticisms of TCHFCAUTK and it's staff/players and your undying love affair with the U bears an uncanny resemblance to ESPN anal-ysts. You sure you're not covert?:peace2:

How is saying Miami and UT do a very good job of producing NFL D-Linemen a criticism of TCHFCATUTK?

Don't stop there. Let's also compare murders and also compare severity of crimes. And let's also compare bench-clearing brawls that have the cops deployed to break them up.

Name one murder committed by a Miami player. Considering they went four years without a single arrest, it's hard to compare crimes when there are none. Considering the laughable, situational discipline being doled out in Gainesville, you probably need to crawl into the sewer with your football program and avoid discussing such issues.

Actually, I meant murders OF players, not murders BY players.

The original issue as brought up by you was that UM and FSU are better programs than Florida's. Well, more accurately that they will be soon.

Then, you attacked someone from the UT faithful who joined in with comments critical of UM by attacking UT's discipline problems.

And now you attack UF's discipline problems.

Exactly what this has to do with how UM and FSU have better football teams than UFs, or that they ever will, escapes me.

But what I have noticed is that your acerbic sarcastic comments, blindsiding those that dare contradict you, and which at first seemed witty to me and made me laugh, now make me concerned that you are a deeply angry person who, once he takes a position, will never concede an inch if instead he can belittle and mock his opponent, no matter how right the opponent may be.

Are you EVER wrong? More accurately, have you ever ADMITTED that you were wrong?
