I figure UGA, Bama and Ole Miss 🤷‍♂️
Rankings wise - based on last week - it’d currently be UGA (1 last week), Alabama (#8) , and Missouri (#9).

Ole Miss was currently sitting at 13…even if Missouri were to lose to 4-7 Arkansas, Ole Miss would need quite a bit of help at the moment looking at the teams above them.

Honestly there’s a fair chance that if Missouri trips up against Arkansas, it could just be Georgia or Alabama from the SEC in that upper tier of bowl games and that’s it…unless there’s lots of upset help in the 1-11 spots from elsewhere in the final weekend.

Texas Bowl vs Big12.

I live in Texas so selfish wish
The SEC front offices tend to use that one for placement of the more western-located of the SEC schools. So far it’s been Arkansas, LSU (2 times), Texas A&M (2 times), Missouri, Ole Miss, and one time Vanderbilt for some reason.

Playing a game in Houston would certainly be an interesting change up, though.

I would not count on Music City or Mayo.
Music City i wouldn't think would.want us to bookend the season in Nashville.
Same for Mayo since we are in the kickoff next year.

Gator would be nice, but wouldn't be surprised to be Liberty or Texas bowl.

If Mizzu wins Saturday, I think they get the nod over Ole Miss.

Rebels went to a NY6 two years ago didn't they?

Also think there would be concern of Kiff bolting and screwing up the promo for a premium bowl. Nobody is worried about Drink going anywhere.
They play on Friday, but yes, they most likely would.

At this point in the season, best case scenario would be to beat Clemson again in a rematch in something like the Gator Bowl

Please not Music City bowl. We get the royal screw there and the field is terrible if you remember the Virginia game.
Remember the Purdue game, wouldn't think the athletic department would go back to the Music City Bowl until the new stadium is up and running, MCB may move up into the playoff rotation once Nissan Stadium is in place with 3,000 hotel rooms in downtown Nashville

Highly doubt Music City since we were just there 2 seasons ago. Mayo Bowl might be unlikely due to the game with NC State next year. Probably would be between ReliaQuest, Gator, Texas, and Liberty. Depending on how Texas and Oklahoma ends their season it could be tricky considering they will be conference members next year and Oklahoma is already on the schedule. ReliaQuest and Gator seem the most likely if they select Big 10 opponents.

Fanbase won't travel that far this season

Understand the draw of playing instate but after 2010 and 2021 music city bowls really really would be nice if we never touched that bowl again.

But given that bowl only sees close to sellout crowds when the vols play they will probably claw and fight to get the vols
