Bowl Projections

Are they taking all 3 buses?

They did sell out all their 12 thousand or so tickets when they travelled to the Liberty Bowl in Memphis back in 2011, so I would expect a decent attendance.

In some ways going to Birmingham might help them in the long run, depending on how final ticket sales go. If it's decent, bowl officials with the Gator or Peach Bowls might take some more notice of them down the line.

Eh, maybe, but they've sold well to their 3 previous bowls and it didn't help them this time.

Vandy AD, David Williams, said that the Vandy fans need to basically stop b*tching and get behind their team. He alluded to the fact that they didn't sell out their last home game.

“I just think what people need to do is get behind their team. … When people look at things, they want to see how you do (in attendance). And let’s face it, the last home game we played, that stadium was not full. So let’s not blame anybody else. Let’s just do what we’ve got to do, and the task at hand right now is to fill up the stadium in Birmingham and beat Houston.”

So, basically they have no one to blame but themselves for not filling up the smallest stadium in the SEC.

The BCS games, with the exception of the Fiesta, are all pretty interesting. Much more so than in recent years.

Across the board, this is a fairly decent bowl season.

I would have liked to have seen Bama play Stanford or Oregon. Otherwise not bad match ups.

The Fiesta Bowl is a snoozer. I would've rather seen Bama play Ohio St and bring them back to reality even more. Otherwise, it's a pretty average bowl season to me. There are always a couple of games that come out of nowhere that end up being good games.

I was hoping to get Oregon in the Sugar. But I'm sure the Sugar Bowl folks wanted to throw a bone to their future partners in the Big XII.

Wisconsin will be a test for us.

I hate the UGA/Nebraska rematch. That's stupid on so many levels.

Alabama should win easily.

Clemson/Ohio State? Hope they both lose.

FSU/Auburn? See above.

They need to do away with all those automatic tie ins. Just put the best games together and run with it.

I'm fine with the champ of each major conference having a guaranteed spot in a major bowl. After that, I agree with you.

I say let the bowls bid on the teams they want, then let the teams pick the most attractive options. That's much more likely to produce great matchups.

And he's right.

No bowl Chik-Fil-A up is going to invite Vandy unless they absolutely have to. They don't have the fanbase.

I'm happy my second favorite team (Rutgers) gets to play Notre Dame in the Pinstripe Bowl. We should win!

..... I haven't checked the line on this game, but I'm doubtful it is very close...

Yes and they have dogged him and us left and right ever since. I went to high school with some cougars and they're delusional and bitter. That and they think football began 15 years ago after case Keenum's 2nd red shirt year.

They'll never get over it Ag. Found this on a UCF site that's trolled hard by one of the 13th graders from coog high:

They have been mediocre for 100+ years until they took Art Briles who in turn got Rg3 to flip from UH to Baylor.

Seems they always leave out the fact that Baylor was RGIIIs 1st choice but Guy Morriss told him that the Bears already had thier QB for thay class. Told him he was welcome to walk on.

The raider rash is strong with those clowns.
