Imo head to head should mean something. We should be ahead of Bama and get the Sugar berth. I guarantee the merchants in NO want that

So looking at orange bowl potentially? Sorry for the confusion.

I see the Cotton as the more likely destination than the Orange, but either would be a great way to end a 10-2(Hopefully) season with a shot at 11-2. If we play in the Orange it will be against Clem or N.Car..Cotton would be the Tulane/ Cincy winner with UCF also in the mix..The orange would be against the better Conference, while the Cotton will be against the highest non group of 5. But the Cotton is a no win situation..we win then we are supposed to but we lose then it looks bad for us and the Conference. I personally would love a rematch with N.Car or a shot to shut up Dabo's big a$$ mouth. But if we lose to Vandy that's a bad way to finish the season.

They were #7 AP (pre CFP rankings) when LSU beat them handedly......

If LSU finishes 11-2, they will have wins over 3 Top 7 ranked teams...... No one else would have a resume that comes close to that.

Put it this way if you want to look at the season as a whole instead of when they played the game.

LSU at 11-2's 3 best wins would be UGA, Bama, Ole Miss. Their combined record in regular season likely to be 31-6 at best (includes 1 Conf Title game)

LSU at 11-2's 2 losses would be Tennessee and Florida State. Their combined record in regular season likely to be 19-5

Say USC wins out at 12-1.. Their 3 best wins would be UCLA, Oregon, Notre Dame. If that happens, their combined regular season 27-10 at best....

While USC had some solid wins and would stack up against most other teams in the country, LSU has the ace in the hole with theirs.

I think that is why the Committee is basically giving LSU a spot to win and in or lose and be eliminated.

Since committee picks the Cotton Bowl, I could see them slating LSU to that if they lose to UGA.

LSU won't be going to a NY6 Bowl with a loss to GA. Now if we lose to Vandy that changes everything. Don't wanna think about that scenario

Will anyone opt out of Vandy game?
I see what you did there.
im hoping that both Banks have a good game and our defense looks more like LSU game than USC.
also hoping that whole team wants to rally around Milton while dedicating win to HH.
plus dangling a trip to Miami should also motivate.

I don't know. They won't drop very far by losing to #1 team. I believe the SC/Clemson game could be factor in Vols jumping LSU in final rankings. If SC wins think I we definitely will pass LSU.
