I didn't read any of the posts in this thread, so i'm sure it has been mentioned, but i stopped reading after "No Kevin Ware." What a joke.

Not to mention Kevin Ware isn't really any good, either. Also, the only productive season UT got out of Hopson (and I guess Harris, too) happened to be Tennessee's worst in Pearl's tenure.

Agreed, Kevin Ware is not worth the fuss he tried to create.

It's funny how now that Kevin Ware is not coming to UT, everyone dogs him, just like they do Bryce Brown. Talent is talent. Just because he isnt going to be a Vol, doesnt mean hes going to suck. Give the kid a break. How many of you would, if you werent a die hard Vol fan like me, want to come to this program with all the uncertainty? Some will claim they would, but its not true.

There are a lot of people who thought he was overrated when he was committed

There will not be much difference in Ware and Richardson. Both are the same type players and have about the same skill set.

Richardson is no where near the athlete Ware is, and Ware is no where near the shooter Richardson is. Richardson is Cam Tatum all over again. Ware is very comparable to Travis Leslie. Very different ways of scoring the ball. You can teach shooting and improve that. You cannot teach nor improve god-given ability. I'd rather have had Ware, but Richardson does provide an element we sorely lack... I guess with Hopson's departure we lack both however.

I still say that Ware reminds me quite a bit of D-Wade coming out of HS. That worked out well for Marquette... Not saying that Ware will be the next D-Wade, but I think the potential is there

Which one is more of a shooter? From what I've seen they are both slashers and average, at best, as shooters.

Ware has about as consistent of a 3-point shot as Jordan Mcrae or JP Prince. Richardson can atleast come on and be about as good or slightly better than any other guards/SFs we have other than Tatum (when he is on.. but that's been a year so he may never be "on" again).

Umm... I wouldn't put McRae in the JP Prince and Ware bundle of 3pt incompetency... McRae has the ability to stroke it from outside, he is extremely streaky though. Don't be surprised if he drops 5-7 3's in a game more than a couple times in the next 3 years.

No - I will be surprised. Golden has much more potential from the 3 than he does - and even he's not that great from behind the arc.

The only guy that has shown he's capable of knocking down that many 3s in a game is Tatum.

McRae lit it up from 3 in AAU games as well as the RTL last season. He'll hit 7-9 and the two misses wont draw rim... about the damndest thing I've ever seen

His best talent is going to the rack, but his game was very limited to in the paint or beyond the 3pt line. No mid range game at all
