John Calipari, Roy Williams, Bill Self, Rick Barnes, Andy Kennedy, Ben Howland, Jamie Dixon, Jim Calhoun, Bobby Knight, Tom Crean, Tom Floyd, Coach K, Herb Sendek, John Beilien, Tom Izzo, Rick Pitino. That look about right?

Pearl's done just as much as or more than: Kennedy, Tim Floyd, Sendek, and Dixon.

Nothing Bruce Pearl has done is anywhere near as impressive as what Dixon did with Pittsburgh last year.

And they are still better coaches.

The results don't say so. If Hat didn't have a mancrush on Tim Floyd you wouldn't pretend he was such a magnificent coach.

Yeah, because you know me well enough to know that I never said a word about Tim Floyd until I started posting here. Get a life.

Since all of the Pearl suckups babble incessantly about how great what The Bronzed Buffoon has done is in light of Tennessee's spotty basketball past, I wonder if one of them can name for me the coaches who have taken USC to three consecutive NCAA Tournaments.

Tim Floyd. Amazing. It only took having two of the best recruits in the country during that time to do it. And barely at that.

Umm... coaches recruit? Good recruits don't diminish their accomplishments unless they bomb.

You're correct. But again, what's your point? He has still has one of the best recruits in the country and barely made the tournament.

Did he make the tournament though?

Yes, what's your point? If you are comparing coaches they should be held to the same standard. At Tennessee it is a disappointment for Tennessee to get in as an at-large comfortably. But for Floyd it is in accomplishment? Even though they have both been at their schools the same amount of time?

Tim Floyd has been coaching a lot longer than Bruce Pearl and has taken more teams to the NCAA tournament.

What is your point? That means exactly nothing. Pearl has coached at two D-1 programs and taken them both to the NCAA tournament. If he went to a 3rd program he'd take them to the NCAA tournament too.

You are the one saying Pearl has done the same or more than Floyd. To this point he hasn't.
