Brace yourself for a long year

No blowout last night. It helps if you watch the game. Florida fans were freaking out mouths wide open when Milton threw a long TD pass and connected on two other long passes in the third quarter. We didn’t play well but, not a blowout. Winning by 30+ is a blow out. We blew UVA out.

Ok. If you watched the game, you realize the Gators went conservative in the 2nd and prioritized the clock. That was a blowout. At no point were we in that game after the 1st.

Aside from UTSA, UConn, and Vandy, I don't see another sure win on our schedule. So many are focusing on Milton, but the team showed major deficiencies in just about every phase of the game. This is not something that can be overcome over the course of a season.

I guess my expectations were too high. We struggled then we made Florida look like a good team, average at best, as are we.

Look at the defenses in the SEC. All can be passed on. Teams that can pass will be more successful this year IMHO.

I don't know how loooong it's going to be. But it seems to me, what we saw last night isn't going to fixed in a game or two. Let's see what happens. GoVols.

The mistakes, penalties and poor tackling I would think can be fixed fairly quickly. Being outmatched along the line of scrimmage unfortunately is tough to overcome quickly.

I bet the Bama fans are saying the same thing about getting a QB from the portal/ They looked really bad yesterday and their transfer from Notre Dame looked like a freshman still in high school.
