I wouldnt have us in the tourney. As good as our wins are they can only outweigh so many terrible losses.

Judging from your previous predictions, I expect us to make the tournament and get a #1 seed.

At this rate, we will need two wins in the SEC tourney, just to get the 18 or 20 to qualify for the NCAA this season. Hell, we may be the 65th team in. At any rate, we will be in the NCAA and lose our first game against SW Missouri State by 12 points.

We're a 9 seed now, first round matchup against St. Mary's in Charlotte, very dangerous considering...

A mouth watering matchup against Duke would be next.

This is my dream, being from Greensboro growing up a UNC fan.

that hasn't been updated yet, the #9 seed is from the 24th.. we've likely moved up a couple lines this week after feasting on the weak west.

I predict a 7 in this week's version.. and another weekly sweep would put us back up to the 5 line.

I'm going if it's in Charlotte. If a 2nd round matchup features Duke/Tennessee, I'll be sick, but still bleed orange.

The sky is falling! The sky is falling!

RPI of 16 and #1 SOS, there is no way we would NOT make the tourney today and even less of a chance that we are a 10-seed. 5-7 range is where Tennessee would be today. SEC schools don't get 10 seeds with a 16 RPI and #1 SOS.

Based on how poor the SEC is, how far will our RPI drop even if we win games? The only one that helps right now is KY. I know it is fluid but I can see our rpi around 22 or so by the time NCAA selection time rolls around. Does that really make a difference between 16 and 22?

While RPI is still important to selection committee, they heavily weigh the last 10 games of the year. I think that if we can finish strong and make the finals at least of SEC tourney, then the weaker SEC schedule shouldn't hurt too much. Key is to do well in league games and be hot at the end of the year. This might be somewhat difficult since 7 of our last 8 league games are against the East.

So let's say we handle Auburn and beat Alabama, which we should be able to do without much trouble. Moving up a line would be quite nice. We need a win over UK to help even out the rest of this ****ty conference, though.

so I have no idea what the KY loss does since we beat Ole miss? I guess if we beat KY and Ole miss we move up in RPI? This conf is a mess.

Palm has us as a #6 right now. Assuming we don't pull a South Carolina, those last nine games will be huge. All against the top seven teams in the conference.
