With Tenn being third in the SEC East standings, i know it is hard to make an accurate prediction when it comes to the seeding of Tennessee, but it is pretty safe to say UK will end up a 1 seed. If tenn makes it to the SEC championship give me your prediction of how high of a seed they can possibly be.

I say the highest possible is a 4 to 5 seed. Possibly a 3 but alot of stuff has to happen...

Deep tourney run gets a 6 seed IMO, especially if Ole Miss finds a way into the NCAA. The conference is stronger than it was last year.

When the new bracketology comes out tomorrow, there will only be 3 SEC teams in. Book it.

IMO, if TN does make it to SEC championship game and is runner-up, we would still only be a 5 or 6 seed. We all know there will be committee member who won't give TN their props!!:bad:

Yeah, that explains UT being overseeded Pearl's first two seasons.

A complete lack of offense right now doesn't earn us any "props"

overseeded? The talent they had in those years, they should have had a high seed! They just didn't play to their potential! Thanks though!

The first year had to have been a mistake. I didn't understand that at all.

I do think that the year we lost to Louisville we should have been given a 1 seed and we were placed in a bracket we didn't deserve.

I wasn't irate they were a 2 seed, I was furious they were the last one.

Put with UNC in North Carolina and the same bracket as Louisville. That was disturbing.

But would you agree they should have gotten a 1? The resume was pretty impressive that year, they just messed up a game in the SEC tournament.

The resume was impressive, but I'm not sure that they should have been seeded ahead of any of the #1s.

I think Tennessee makes the Elite 8 in any other bracket that year.
That team was running on fumes at the end. They were lucky to get out of Birmingham alive. Just about anyone decent would have taken them out in the round of 16.

I guess it's up to whatever the committee thinks. I think winning at Xavier, Gonzaga, and Memphis is pretty tough to top. I guess it all depends on the stock you put in the conference tournament.

Maybe, but they shouldn't have played a team nearly as good as Louisville.

They didn't play Kansas.

They were lucky to get by Butler. Any top 4 seed would have housed them the way they were playing at that time.
I think that's probably going a little far. They may have lost, but they would have done better against a team they were actually better than.

That's my point. I don't think at that time of the year, they were better than any of the top 10 or 15 teams. And that was proven by a 3 seed pounding them. But I fully agree, the regular season resume was very impressive.
