Leonard Hamilton, last college coach to go to Boston. Did not go well, but Leonard landed on his feet at FSU.

as has been said a lot, he can easily go back to the college game, but he's nothing more than a sacrificial lamb while Boston rebuilds unless he pulls off a miracle. Surprised that Stevens would turn down so many high profile NCAA jobs to take on an impossible task like this.

I don't blame him at all for taking this job. Second most high profile job in the association. Once in a lifetime opportunity. Good for him.

This is a win/win for Stevens. He gets a chance to coach one of the most iconic franchises in all of sports, make a ton of money doing doing it and if it doesn't work out he can go back to the college level and still have university's lined up wanting him.

This. I'm glad someone notices what is going on. he is the M.L. Carr of 2013 season. They tanked for Duncan and lost out. They'll tank for Shaq Wiggins and lose out again probably before Cleveland somehow wins the draft but Wiggins has a career ending injury in a preseason game for further proof god hates cleveland like no other city.
