Reasons for him to come:

1) Butler will never be a dynasty mentioned alonside Duke, KY ext.
2) Miss the tourney once and he will be old news at Butler
3) He is young and Butler will only take him so far. He has their expectations way to high now. See 2 and they will be calling for his head.
4) $$$$ Butler will never be able to pay what UT can.

If money isn't that big of a deal for him talk to his wife!!!

Love to have him but we'll need some better arguments.

He seems quite a bit like Mark Few--the talented Gonzaga coach who has turned down numerous offers because he likes where he is.

I think its safe to lock this thread and be done with the idea, not happening.

Stevens is going to be the basketball John Gruden.

1. Butler has already been to one NC game and is almost a lock for the Sweet 16 yearly. One would argue that is near the level of a Duke,UNC,UK

2. They love him at Butler plus with his coaching and they way the players buy into "The Butler Way" they are far more likely to make the Tourny yearly playing in the Horizon than us playing in the SEC. Plus Butler's non conference schedule is usualy pretty strong for a mid major.

3. I'll agree the bar is about as high as it can get right now at Butler

4. Money is not always a factor

I disagree with this post, in its entirety.

I wouldn't even offer him - I'd tell him to name his terms, and once known, would get it done, be it via boosters, a telethon, or large-scale and forcible plasma donations by registered voters residing in Tennessee.

And I would never look back.

I'll donate three times the legal amount to make this happen.

Losing the championship and coming back is enough to be considered a dynasty

He has less talent and has outcoached Pearl, Izzo, Donavon, And almost coach K. He is only 34. He will be able to build up Butler if he stays and make them a torney team for a long time. That's where his magic is. If he does leave he will be PAID.

My point in making this thread is there are always young Coach K's and Brad Steven's out there and our AD has to find them before it's too late.
