He just visited Washington which inherently means he's soft to UCLA.

Also has ties to ATL.... "Originally from Mays HS (Atlanta)"

It only "inherently" makes you soft on Scout. Which is complete crap BTW. I refuse to use Scout as a source of information any longer. They have flubbed way too many things this year, their commit list is inaccurate and their visit list is as well.

Take it he still live in ATL, probably wouldn't mind his family being able to see him play.

"UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel's whirlwind recruiting this week took him from the Georgia home of JUCO defensive tackle Branden Warner"

Rivals may be better however I've seen many things break on Scout that took forever to post on VolQuest and vice versa. I'm open to whatever sources are available. When Warner is seen walking around K-Town maybe you'll change your mind.

According to his rivals profile he is a Dec. grad, so he should be in school already. I guess things could have changed though.

UCLA uses the quarter system. He committed early enough to be on campus and in class for the winter quarter. If he's hanging around ATL right now I wonder if he's been visited by any of the coaches over the last month or so. Puts our chances of him getting on campus pretty high, all signs point to use having a real shot with him if he was in fact offered.

"UCLA, U-Dub and Tennessee are my top three," Warner said. "Washington State was up there, but they are off my list now."

Warner said he plans a visit to Knoxville this coming weekend and his parents will get an in-home visit from Husky defensive coordinator Nick Holt as well as defensive line coach Johnny Nansen in Georgia.

That is hard to argue with when it comes out of his own mouth.

Very true, but I have seen over the past few recruiting seasons that things with recruits change everyday. Kind of like Mike Edwards now lists Minnesota as his leader. I'm sure if everything is legit, Brent Hubbs will let us know. He's the most accurate recruiting journalist that covers UT Football.

Not trying to be vendictive, just posting what he said. Just thought a direct quote from the guy that is taking the visit is more reliable than anyone.

And I know that Hubbs is by far the most involved recruiting journalist as far a UT football, but he can't be everywhere. I have seen many reports on players that are interested in UT that have been reported on scout a week before Hubbs said a word about them. Hurst was one.

I love how we are starting to get the attention of a lot of D-line prospects in such a short period of time. Imagine what a whole year of recruiting would get us.

A "visit" is paid for. It is a visit that is more of a perk... You really have to have a "WOW" fa tor to change a recruits mind. This may be their only chance at a vacation far from home....
