I just read some comments from a UK bb forum. Everything should be read with a grain of salt, but the most common remark was that BHH didn’t have the work ethic needed to play at Kentucky. Another poster said that BHH wanted his AAU coach (Mize) to be present at interviews with KY coaches, and Coach Cal wouldn’t allow that to happen.
Kentucky fans tend to be somewhat ugly when they lose out on a recruit to the Vols. One thread asked fans what their most hated rivals were. UT was picked by a majority, and some comments were less than respectful, to say the least.

I certainly wasn’t in that camp and believe Barnes will have a good year next year but I do understand the frustration. Barnes demanded top 5 money, signed a top 5 class, had decent returning talent, and was picked to win the conference. Instead, we never remotely competed for the conference, had to win our last game just to finish 4th, and then got drilled in the first round in a game that we were never really in. There really weren’t a lot of high points this year either but it’s simply because expectations were high. When you demand that kind of money that’s to be expected though. Barnes better get used to it.

Expected it, but still deserves a BOOM. Just great job by this staff. Still need to see results on the court so won’t get too carried away, but we undoubtedly have the tools to be very good.

Beating Kentucky in Rupp never gets old. Taking 2 of 3 from Florida never gets old.

Not sure if they were unintelligent or just hasty which can be worse. Being hasty prevents people from exercising their intelligence and allowing their cooler heads to prevail. Hard to see data through emotion.

If making the tournament is an accomplishment then we're definitely a basketball school. Last year they didn't play anything meaningful so the top 15 is nice but almost like it didn't happen.
