If your not for sure u want to be here then we don't need him we need players who want to be here and turn things around we have had to many players like Powell here the last couple of years

I was a bit surprised on 247 yesterday to see his name pop up next to Miami. I guess I'm most disappointed because Truitt wanted to come here and we basically went cool on him after Powell signed. Later, of course, Truitt signed with the Barn.

Anyway, I hope Powell had enough class to contact the coaching staff about his decision before committing to the U. I remember reading that Marquez North did that with UNC right before NSD even though he had not signed with them before.

That is like considering having a skunk as a house pet.

Actually, skunks with their scent sacs removed make good house pets. They're smart and quite trainable. When acquired from a very young age.

Kids need to go where they feel comfortable and have a chance at playing time. Good luck to him.

I don't mind seeing 5'9" CB's go elsewhere. Receivers keep getting bigger and I like the bigger corners as a rule. Anybody agree?

Not a corner...he's a slot receiver, and a damned fine one at that. Kid's a playmaker and we will miss his explosiveness and potential. But if I were training everyday with Michael Irvin and had him in my ear about the U, I'd probably decommit too. Good luck to him... just be glad he's in the ACC now.

Those who can hack it in the SEC stay committed.
Those who can't don't.
Therefore, this is a case of addition by subtraction.

Irvin is probably trying to get even with us over the 1986 spanking the U got.

It would have been nice if he stayed. He's very talented. Best of luck to him.

He was kinda flighty anyways. He named auburn his leader, then two days later, he commits to us. We have some good receivers coming in with this class. Wish him luck, but we got to expect some of this, they are 17yr old kids

Someone make sure he brings the brick back! With all the sanctions about to hit Miami, there house won't need it cause it is built on sand!

Heard another commit was coming that plays his position and that is why he left us was worried about playing time. Florida and Georgia commits we always have to be wary of until they are signed.

Best wishes, Brandon. Hope everything works out well for you.

Yes, best wishes Brandon. You have to do what you think is best for you. Evidently, you had reservations about being a Vol and you need to think through what it is that you want to do and do it 100%. What we expect, and what your new school will expect, too, is complete dedication. As you may have already learned, once you make the decision to be a Tennessee Vol, there are not only the highest expectations but you have become one of the family. So it is best for you as well as for us that you make this decision now.

I'm still planning to go see him play at Deerfield. He is a scat back. Could have been fun but we already have Deveron Young and others we can put in the slot.
