I didn't say Tatum was elite. At least I didn't mean to if I did. Hopson is very athletic, more so than many others playing D-I. That's what. What brought this up anyways?

Just thought that's what you were implying here...

We will see about that. Hopson, Tatum and hopefully Harris are our athletes. Who else?

How about Goins, Golden, Bone, Wooldridge, Hall, ect.?

You think Goins, Bone and Woolridge are elite athletes?

It's quite simple.

You can press all you want to and win a lot of games, but when the time comes you must be able to play a half court game, and that time will come in March. 09-10 was the first time we've been able to play it with reasonable competency for entended periods of time.

We were talking about being athletic, not who was an "elite" athlete. All the players I listed are athletic, perhaps few are elite athletes....completely different subject.

A fast pace offense can win championships. A lot of teams have a fast-paced offense, so I think you should clarify, "fast pace." In March, when everything counts, you have to play the half-court well. It will either be for defensive purposes because a lot of teams thrive in the half-court, like OSU or Duke or many others. Or, it may be because of offensive purposes because controlling the ball controls the clock. Teams that are more talented or athletic may thrive with their fast pace offense like a Kansas or UK or many others again.

I'd argue Goins is a pretty damn good athlete, if not an elite one - at least compared to the rest of college basketball.

I would rather have him than McBee. I think one of Pearls biggest mistakes he has made is giving him a scholly.
