I was wondering about Uko as well...sure would be nice to get Willis back AND Uko or Quarles, Floyd, or Whitaker.Scenario? With the Carroll absence, DT Uko was interested in us and hypotherotically renew his interest and want to commit, will that make Willis expendable since he was going to be a DT anyway? Just an inquiry, just wanted to see others' thought.

We need a solid 2 deep DT rotation from this class, and I think J. Smith might even be looked at as an LB once he gets here. I read that somewhere today, and since he's currently 230lbs...they may be able to plug him in if we continue to struggle getting the LB's we want.
Him or Stripling at LB, and able to step up into the DE role if needed. Remember Leonard Little going from DE to MLB back to DE. Either one of these two could be another L. Little.

When four-star defensive tackle Brandon Willis departed for San Antonio at the beginning of this week, he had planned to announce his decision to enroll at UNC during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Heavy pressure from Tennessee-bound prospects throughout the week has led him to second-guess his decision. Now, multiple sources are telling Inside Carolina that Willis college destination is up in the air between Tennessee and UNC.
Despite speculation that Willis' father is influencing the decision, he has told his son that this is his decision and he'll support it. Meanwhile, Willis' father has been in constant contact with UNC throughout the week.
Mannnnnnnnnn! Don't mention a player can be like Leonard Little, he was my Michael Jordan in High school and I was a UT his Sr. Year! Him and Big Al hanged out all the time! I also would love to have Willis and Uko but Willis seems more feasible.

I just can't see a recruit of his caliber passing up the chance to play for NFL coaches and a program that has a distinguished winning history. UNC is a basketball school and it's likely going to stay that way for the foreseeable future. There may be more confidence on our side vs. UNC's...but confidence is no substitute for being right . I'm reminded of one Mr. Jeff Luc....late-game changes can come all too easily.
