Is currently the #2 QB on Notre Dame's roster and plans on transferring after the college football playoffs. He is a true Dual Threat. Think he considers Tennessee? Wonder why this is the first post about him!

I think most believe he was the detriment for notre dame... seems obvious now and let’s be honest, he got beaten out for his job by Book who isn’t necessarily the next Joe Namath. Don’t know why we’d bring him in tbh

It's true. My office is directly across from a Notre Dame alum/fan who was very, very happy when they finally made the switch to Book.

with all the new recruits and players still on roster we're probably over the scholarship limit now...Coach Pruitt is gonna have his hands full trying to figure that out, and oh, yeah, we already have QBs...wish him luck...somewhere else...doubt very seriously he gets a chance to come to UT...

GO VOLS...RECRUIT LIKE HECK!

No. Can’t play at Notre Dame, got beat out there, so we wanna bring him in? Didn’t we just do that exact same thing and waste a scholarship on Chryst?

We got JG, Shrout and Maurer, that’s who we need to ride with unless some truly phenomenal grad transfer falls into our lap, and I don’t see that happening

Not being a smartarse , but why would a dual threat QB consider going to a place where the change is being made to run a pro set offense? Just curious

Do you think he would "lower" himself to play of Tennessee after being this close to "heaven"?

If he is having trouble deciding who to "part ways with" at this point, then we got a whole different problem. I do not think Pruitt doesn't have a list of guys that need to go, for what ever reason, be it ability, attitude, size, speed, or what ever. Now to figure out how to part ways fairly and nicely, that could be what he is or will have trouble with.

so i ask.....what's the difference?
I don't know if yer agreeing with me or disagreeing. I said last year we shouldn't take Chryst and I'm saying now we shouldn't take this guy. Everyone pointed to Chryst's win/loss record as a reason to take him, same as the post I replied to earlier about this guy.

I think the one positive for bringing Chryst was preserving Shrouts redshirt. At he same time I wouldn't want to bring this kid in, but I wouldn't be surprised if we try to have another body at the QB spot.

Chryst was the starter and got a knee injury in a bowl game that put him out the next season. By the time he was ready, the team had moved on and he had graduated. As for Winbush, he isn't what we need. We need dominating OL/DL players.

Just need a better oline.
Nope. Need much better QB play too. JG needs to read D's better and make better decisions faster. Not all of those hits were on the OL... many were because he has to "think" after the snap. IIRC, one of Cutcliffe's fixes for Ainge was a 2.5 second clock in his head. QB's just can't expect to have time for a receiver to get open before they throw. They have to read and anticipate. JG is lagging in that respect.

Before you argue with me... explain why Dormady was sacked 3 or 4 times last year while JG was sacked over 30 behind the same guys.

After watching video of KC at Stanford, I didn't think he was the solution. Still, he didn't take the hits or sacks that JG did in his real playing time. His decisions weren't consistently good... but they were made in the right amount of time. A good decision made late... is often a bad decision.

Having 4 OCs in 4 Years can mess a QBs mind up..
