When I had to work weekends the revrun jackson used to get me through the mornings with his rainbow morning program on the radio.

What is the percentage of whites to blacks in America?

If they want the percentages to be fair in sports, then why don't they have a quota of how many of each race are allowed to play?

As long as people like Jesse Jackson continue to make a living off of pulling the racial rabbit out of their hat, how can the people of this country ever move towards not looking at other races differently?

His argument is that most of them are not African-American, but they are African-Carribean. I know it's splitting hairs, but it is enough of a distinction to get ole Jesse worked up.

This does bring up an interesting point though. African-Americans are not playing baseball or boxing as much as they did in the past. Which explains some of the decline in interest of the two sports. Football and basketball are king.

Right now, I bet if you went outside to any neighborhood, you would be more than likely to see a few buys hooping it up than on the diamond...

I have a novel idea. Jackson and Co. should devote their efforts to encouraging AA kids to play baseball. Heck, I bet the Braves would pony up some cash to fund an innercity ATL league.

The Braves are about to be sold. Jackson is making his mark before so he can be on record for the new owners.

Between the religious right trying to stop the sale and Jackson trying to bring 'equality' into the team, I'm shocked payouts have not been forthcoming. The new owners have a large interest in the pay-for-porn in many hotels and some were not wanting to see a good team like the Braves be bought up by porn magnates....pay no attention to Chipper cheating on his wife and knocking up a Hooter's waitress.

Are they making the porn or just providing it to willing, paying customers? Don't they own the hotels? Maybe I don't know the whole story.

But about Chipper - he's moved on. Shouldn't we?

Ummm...you missed my point. I'm lumping this group on the right with this group on the left. I'm not defending either or any. Just pointing out the Braves are actually being hit by both sides by some fringe elements.
