Bray about to come up on Around the Horn.

Does not matter at all. Bray is a very very good QB and will have a long NFL career. Hope he stays. he is obviously better than Worley and Peterson at this time. He did acknowledge that he is paid with his free education

If you can't read a defense in college I don't see it happening in NFL. He has real hard time throwing stuff underneath IMO. He doesn't manage the offense well enough to lead a methodical grind out 6 yard every play drive. You need big plays occasionally and consistent production all the time. Is some of it Chaney? Yes. But when it gets tough he wilts.

Bray doesn't have "it". You gotta have "it" to win games like Georgia, South Carolina and Mizzou. The ball games mentioned were his for the taking. Shuler, Manning and Martin had "it".

Ill agree with Georgia, but with scar he led the team all the way down the field and got blindsided by one of the best DEs in the nation. Against mizzou bray was masterful in the first half and still damn good in the second. That game is 100% on the defense.

Absolutely agree. In the UGA game he was trying too hard to make throws where he shouldn't and it cost him, other than that I can't pinpoint a game that is his fault for losing.

In the USCe game he stepped up in the pocket and was about to get rid of the ball within 3-5 seconds of the snap and he got hit by arguably the best defensive end in the country who forced a fumble.

Mizzou can't be put on anything other than our D and Dooley's ineptitude at the helm.

Miss State is in my opinion the same situation as Mizzou except the real killer in that game was Devrin's fumble on what could have been a drive to take the lead.

And for UF our whole team pretty much gave up.

Overall I think the team has been fed up with this staff for as long, if not longer, than we have. Bray has shown disappointment at Dooley's lack of faith in his players even when they go out there and preform their asses off. Bray has the natural talent and has progressed more this year than in his first two years but seemingly without help from the staff. Get him a QB expert to coach him up and this kid could be unstoppable.

If "it" means some semblance of a defense, I agree.

If by "IT" you mean a defense that he could trust on ANY AT ALL then yes those older boys had "IT"

Bray surely is not this team's primary problem but he is a punk and we can only hope he leaves after this season and the school can start the rebuilding all over again. I think his chances of sticking in the NFL are slim based on his poor ability to read defenses, his lack of any mobility, his staring down his targets before he throws, and his little pouty attidtude that he can't control. Ryan Leaf had more tools than Bray out of college. Look at Leaf's career in the NFL. Bray better be getting that college degree to fall back on.

Bray's one of the best we've ever had.

Get over it. The problem is defense.

We'll be lucky if he comes back.

The defense sucks. It is historically bad. Everyone knows that.

Nevertheless, when the chips are down, Bray folds. He can't put together game winning drives in crunch time of a meaningful game. If, by some miracle, we actually ever achieve a lead in a meaningful game, he consistently squanders every opportunity to build on that lead. As a result, we end up losing the game.

Bray is NOT a good QB. He doesn't know how to win.

Bray is a great quarterback. Not perfect, but great. It's a team game and without a good defense, and strengths in other parts of the game, you aren't going to beat better teams regardless of how good your quarterback is. Do you remember our last two quarterbacks? It's a given among scouts, coaches, and others with much greater expertise in evaluating talent than us that he's a great quarterback.

I really don't understand all the Bray hate. Sure he says/does some stupid stuff but at the end of the day the kid is a good athlete, his stats speak for volumes for his ability and an offense led by him is averaging over 30 points a game. When you play DEFENSE that's normally enough to win.

Any publicity is good publicity.

bad publicity??????? Every ghetto kid who runs a 4.0 forty or is a 6'6'' 330lb monster just opened up to get recruited by us. "Getting paid to play"-Tyler Bray that statement got kids as excited as a dog walking down the street sniffing another dogs butt:thumbsup:

I used to blame Bray.

But it is painfully obvious he has had no coaching to develop his talent.

It beggars the imagination to think what two weeks with Cut would do for him.

Seriously, you have to be joking. Chaney is a good OC/QB coach, just ask Drew Brees. Chaney wasn't the only one that developed him. But, Chaney was the main one.

Bray is a very good QB, but not an ELITE QB. He folds under pressure. That has nothing to do with Chaney. Everyone that thinks so highly of Bray will see the real TB when he fails miserably in the NFL. He will be a big bust because he doesn't have it between his ears!!! Chaney nor anyone can put it there for him!!!

In before you guys bash me for saying Bray has done well enough for UT to be 7-3, 8-2. I agree 100%. Our D is so lame. If Peyton were the current QB, UT is probably sitting at 2-4 in the SEC, 6-4 overall. That is how bad the D sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please list your sources. Most draft prognosticators that I have read say great arm but little else with Bray. That is not a GREAT QB.

I agree that TB is not a great QB....he gets stats against junk teams. However, he would win more games with a better D, but he doesn't have "it" to drive down and win a game in pressure situations.....and what's up with him not being able to hit a checkdown pass???!!! He always gets sacked, overthrows or gets intercepted in pressure situations.

it's hard to have "IT" when your team gives up 35+ per game

How can you guys not see that Bray is not a great QB. He has a great arm for the long ball but has no touch underneath and does not manage the game well. Alot of his problems are coaching related and his lack of maturity. So those of you that want to hitch your wagon to Bray i say go ahead. I myself am ready for the next QB at UT.

I also hate the fact if he gets to his second receiver or has any pressure he wings it in the stands. Thats why that fewest sack stat means jack nothing.

The thing is noone will ever know because he will not see the field in the NFL.

Yeah yeah yeah, and you were one of the same ones whining that Bray always tried to force it instead of just throwing it away, and HAZ NO MATURITIESSS!!!!

We know....we know...he bedded your girlfriend.

""'he thing is noone will ever know because he will not see the field in the NFL."""

Oh please. He's going to be in the NFL for 15 or 20 years, starting.
