Bray, Hunter, CP, Tiny, DMac, et.al...

Eric Berry went 1st round, 5th overall and signed a 60 million dollar contract. Javier Arenas went in the 2nd round, 50th overall, and signed for 3.78 million.

One more year in orange...not could be... will be...huge financially!

Rook salary cap went into effect---year after Berry signed.

If Worley is the answer, then I definiately hope Bray sticks around another year.

I don't think Bray or Hunter will be taken on the 1st day. Bray chokes in pressure situations and doesn't play well against better teams. Hunter has dropped way too many balls.

CP could be taken early as a project based on pure athleticism. OTOH, I don't think anyone will invest 1st round money in a guy who has never proven he can run good routes or learn an NFL level playbook.

All three could help their draft status by returning.... but could also hurt it. Bray in particular could lose big depending on the next HC's offensive system or even if the next HC holds an open competition for the position and focuses more on management than arm strength.

Hunter would have to revert to the old Hunter or else he might as well go.

CP would have to show improvements in his WR skills or it could be read as a persistent problem.

Why is that? The "gun" showed that he has very good arm strength. The pick he had was on CP for not running the correct route. He manages the O well.... and doesn't appear to fall apart at the first sign of pressure.

I said during the season that if I were DD my career would not be put in the hands of Bray again after he choked a couple of games away. Who knows.... maybe a better manager of the offense would have gotten UT into the correct running play more often and kept the D off the field. Maybe they would have won more without Bray slinging it all over the place... even when it wasn't working.

1) No decision in life should be made SOLELY based on money.

2) Sometimes NOT going pro and waiting a year, will make you more.

It can go either way. Shuler should have stayed. Arian Foster should have left. There's always a risk of injury... and always a risk that you miss big money OR get drafted by a horrible team.

Hunter is gone. Has a baby, and he is the number one receiver this year. No point in him staying. Hyams reported CP isn't a big fan of school which would conclude in him leaving for the NFL. Heard mixed things on Bray. I wish they all would stay but will support everyone one of them no matter their decision. VFL!!!

Hunter may leave... but I still think he's going to drop through the draft when team scouts actually look at his game film. He has dropped WAY too many balls to be a first day pick.

CP's grades are probably a big factor.

Of the 3, I think Bray has the most to lose by returning. The new HC may change OC's and systems. Even if he doesn't, Bray will have to win the job again.

I don't necessarily think that Bray has a lot to lose by returning, because he will have to win his starting job again, as much as I think he will have a depleted receiving corps. Bray's numbers are good, but he's also been throwing to two NFL draft picks, a hell of a slot receiver, and one of the best catching tight ends in the SEC.

Coming back to throw to completely unproven WR's and TE's runs him the risk of hurting his draft stock as much as another year to show his maturity could help it.

So here's my question on this subject...Do you guys feel any of theses players have the talent at position or natural skills that EB had when he came out early?

I think the closest is Patterson...definitley think Hunter, Bray, and McCullers would benefit from an additional season.

Cp is gone hes a first round top 15 pick on atleticism alone, however bray and hunter would definently benefit staying another season. I think they both fall late first to mid third depending on teams needs and willingness to handle poor character.

What is 'definently'? Did you mean, 'definitely'? Would that have been covered if you stayed for your senior year?

Work on connecting the dots (making a point), before posting. You're not proving your point by comparing a junior (who made more money) and a senior (who made less).

Back up and read my previous post..
I said the point is if you aren't an EB level player as a Jr. you should stay for you Sr. year...clear now? Alrighty then.
How much less would Arenas made coming out as a Jr? And quite frankly while Arenas doesn't make the tackles EB does (and he shouldn't CB vs SS)...He doubles up returning punts.
