Bray the steal of the draft?

Interesting article talking about how Bray did at the combine and how he would fit into Arizona', KC's and Buffalo's offenses. There is a lot of hate here for Bray, but imagine how much more success he would have had if he played at Tennessee back when Cutcliffe, Fulmer and Chavis were all here......Cutcliffe worked miracles with Ainge before that 2006 season.

Tyler Bray could be steal of 2013 NFL Draft as big-armed QB - NFL.com

might be a good pick as long as you don't have to draft that nasty attitude.

He would've never seen the field with Cutcliffe....Fulmer didn't even recruit him---Fulmer had Tajh Boyd coming instead of Bray---WHY don't you imagine how many more wins we would've had with Boyd as our Qb instead of Bray over the last 3 years?

Sorry, sir--no HATE here--just objective evaluation from watching the boy play for 3 years. And time will tell if Bray can actually play when the "bullets start flying" at him in the NFL. :salute:

Agree. Arians has a reputation as a developer of QB's (Rothlisberger, Luck). He is also no nonsense - calls it like he sees it which is what Bray needs. And of course, Arizona is desperate for any kind of QB talent. If Bray is lucky enough to be drafted by the Cardinals and if he can't make it work there, then he probably just doesn't have it for the NFL.

Good post. I agree with everything you said.

Boyd would not have had anymore wins in a proset offense. He does not have the arm strength. There is a reason he didn't come out early and its because he did not project to be drafted.

I'd love to see Bray make it in the NFL. The kid's got some learning to do, but a good staff should be willing to coach him into it. If he does learn, he'll be a hoot to watch.

I still see some Ryan Leaf in Bray.

If he gets his head and attitude in order, he could dominate.

That's a big if.

Hasn't it been the same story with Bray since he arrived on The Hill? Great tools, needs to get his head in the game..............doubt it ever changes.

There are so many strong armed QBs that pass through the NFL each year that barely get a 2nd look. You need to stand out, not just be a kid that needs grooming. Tyler should rent, not buy, if he hooks on to a team.

Agree that Bray is talented but flawed, but I know all vols are pullin for him to "pan out". The guys got a good head on the field (throws the ball away when he needs to, etc.) and all the arm you could ever want, but he loses focus at times on and off the field. I hated when he would go on a tear delivering the ball too high on 6 or 8 straight attempts right after making some of the most impressive throws I have seen in CFB! I would literally scream "FOCUS!" at the TV!
