Bray visit Sept 5

He is going to be completely awestruck by the new coaching staff and the turnout of the thousands of fans at the traditional Vol Walk. But nothing will compare to the feeling he will get when the team takes the field, running through the Power T of the Pride of the Southland Band, in front of 100,00+ Tennessee Volunteer fans. The excitement is in the air for the first game of the season and it's FOOTBALL TIME IN TENNESSEE!! It would not suprise me in the least if Mr. Bray is at least silently committed by halftime. I am a lifetime Vol fan and nothing sends chills down my spine like the Tennessee Volunteers taking the field through the T. Go Vols and Welcome Home Mr. Tyler Bray!!

Calm down guys, Your going to put a hex on the whole thing

Bray told me he wont commit on the trip.

You're correct. Someone else posted an interview that said he would probably make his decision shortly after. :p

In essence it sounds like he wants to let the trip to Knoxville settle in and then it's between Tennessee/San Diego State barring another high profile school offering.

Why would they pull his offer? It's not like they can get anybody better...

Exactly...

It's a no brainer for SDSU to salivate over this kid, but I can't even believe this is a choice for a serious QB.

Arguing with Wheaton about UT vs Oregon for BB is one thing, but it's unlikely we can even find an SDSU fan to debate. And, then what's there to talk about?

Are there any other schools besides SDSU and Tennessee that have shown much interest? His stock has blown up the last couple of months. Big kid at 6'6" with a good arm and vision, plus his performance during summer camps...I find it hard to believe that no one else is interested. If it's between SDSU and Kiffin and Co., pack your bags mom and dad you'll be spending a lot of time in Knoxville over the next few years. GO VOLS!!!

His next best offer is Fresno State.

Colorado has shown interest as well. He talked about them shortly. Doesn't know much but said they need a QB so he may look into them as well.

I think the national perception is that it is down to SDSU and UT for Bray.

SDSU wouldn't remove their offer. This is a great piece of news for their school to be competing with Tennessee over a QB they discovered before anyone else.

I'm going to play devils advocate......

Am I the only one that thinks SDSU is not a bad place to play college football? If he went to SDSU and threw the ball all over the place, put up great #'s in a decent conference against a few pretty good schools.........More power to him! I hope that he has his heart in UT/SEC/ESPN TV games/Pagentry/Tradition?ect........ but SDSU is not a bad place to play the game! He will make the decision that is BEST for HIM.

I agree with you. It is much closer to home, and he might like it better over there. I couldn't blame him if he would rather go there. But the opportunity is better over here.

The news on Bray keeps getting better everyday. Sounds like a lot of the recruits are looking/keeping tabs on the WKU game this weekend.

In an interview this morning, he said distance isn't an issue because his parents are moving wherever he goes.

Coming here worked out for Clausen(California) and Ainge(Oregon). Loves Peyton. This is the place for him. He needs to don the orange and finish his career within the vicinity of one of those three. Ainge being the most likely but hey... I'd love to have another Ainge and if he ends up better, awesome.

If he learned anything this summer it is exposure. In his interview he basically said the reason he flew under the radar was because he didn't camp that much. SDSU doesn't get that much exposure. I think he may want to be in the spotlight and give it a whirl. If it doesn't work out he still got an excellent education and gave himself a chance to compete against the best this side of the NFL>
