I have the opportunity to attend a breakfast tomorrow sponsored by Club Leconte. Bruce Pearl is the featured speaker and I can ask a question. What should I ask him?

Who are you going with Rheaber? Are you sitting with me?

Ask him if he has heard about the Volnation Website and his loyal following there ever since the first day he was hired.

Id ask....When it became obvious that our front line post players were giving up the paint, what were your thoughts to counter this weakness? Or would this question be in bad taste?

Are you going? I will be there with my Sister. Save us a seat if you get there early. I will get there around 7:15 or so. Who are you going with?

I'd say thats a simple answer. Bradshaw will be the 3 since he was the rest of the year once Patterson was moved into the starting 4 spot.

Ask him if he is going to have Dane and J. Smith work on their freethrow shooting before next year. :focus:

1. Ask him if he thinks Illinois fans will ever grow up and stop being so whiney.

2. Ask him who he likes to win the N.C. this year, FL or LSU.

The breakfast was great. I will post a summary of what I remember later today.

Any comments Rheaber?

We had a great breakfast with Pearl this morning. He was great. He spoke about a range of topics and I am sure that Vol Freak will summarize in a post. Basically he went over the whole year. This guy is funny. He speaks very well and you can tell that he understands the whole picture.

When it was my chance I asked him what we should expect to see from Wingate next year with the addition of Chism and Crews. Also what we should expect from Chism and Crews in their first year. I also asked what the status of Ramar Smith is and he declined to comment.

He did answer the first part and he said that Wingate will be Wayne and Duke's "Mother Goose". He wants them to follow Major around and learn how to be in the SEC. He did said they will be major part of the team next year. He talked a long time about Major. About how sensitive he is and that he is a "very good man". He spoke about Major's inability to rebound and one of the reasons is he doesn't release well. He felt that was due to a lack of explosiveness. He went on to explain that this stems from his very small lower body and he has a plan for Major in the off season in the weight room.

I must say I was more than impressed with Coach Pearl.

I imagine he's not allowed to talk about Ramar Smith yet. NCAA rules are weird.

That's true rockytopscott. Pearl cannot comment on any potential recruit until he has signed with us. NCAA rules.
