I have seen him no less than 15 times. To put things into perspective he attacks the rim like D Wade. He is absolutely fearless but, he plays under control. He is great at pulling up for an 8-10 foot jumper to prevent an offensive foul. As far as this goes he is one of the best I have ever seen. I feel that he is an above average perimeter shooter but, not what you might classify as elite. He has improved this part of his game very much. He is a great on the ball defender that if asked can guard 3 positions at the next level. He needs to get stronger but, just turned 17 a couple of weeks ago so he has time to get there. He has put up big numbers against the best competition in the country this summer and I feel like he can do the same immediately for the Vols. So get ready Rocky Top, you are going to LOVE this kid!
From local paper in Dyer County
Dyersburg State Gazette: High School Sports: Hubbs headed to Rocky Top (09/17/12)
What I am finding funny is that even though he is not technically a Memphis Kid, a little over an hour up the road, no one is even talking about him coming to UT. I live in Memphis and have been checking the Commercial Appeal and the Memphis message boards and not a peep. I listened to the Parrish show cause Rucker was a guest yesterday and Parrish basically said out of all of the Memphis kids Hubbs has the most potential to be a really good NBA player. i guess with Stokes, now Hubbs and hopefully one more the local media and fans don't want to admit that Cuonzo is making headway into west Tennessee, hopefully for years to come
