Breakout Player

From the coaches' perspective, I expect someone on the defensive line to have a breakout season. But with so much depth and Garner playing so many DLs each game, we fans may not realize it until late in the year.

On offense, I hope it's someone on the offensive line, because that will improve everyone's game.

If Sampson has spent enough time in the film room mastering the subtleties of pre-snap defensive reads, he might provide the most fan-noticeable leap in production over last season.

I hope Keyton gets a little chip on his shoulder about being overlooked in relation to his flashier counterparts, and just catches everything thrown to his zip code.

Thornton just needs to be Thornton wherever Milton expects him to be each down.

He was good last year, but I think you're gonna see Bru light it up this year.

Not the fastest guy in the world, but that big body has to be in the nightmares of DBs.

Thornton from what I’ve heard will be good. Seldon also has a chance to be a new face on the offense as a freshman. Squirrel and Bru also I think will be better this season. Rb room in general will be better.

Who is your breakout player on offense and on defense this year?

On offense - I think it’s gonna be Ethan Davis
On defense - I’m going with Wesley Walker
Davis is a great choice—his injury set him back last season. I like it—nobody mentioning him much and he has a ton of potential.

Another player who gets overlooked is Dee Williams. He was great at PR for us last year and hopefully can contribute more in the secondary this year.

O- .Cam Seldon
D- HOBBS

My new comers . As for current players that's a tuff one but my hopes are
Milton - we need him to be Heisman caliber
Baron- keeping the opposition QB on his backside makes life easier on DBs

Dee was healthy when we had so many DBs injured... yet he didn't appear there. All I know for sure is, the coaches played him where he is most valuable to the team.

Personally, I'm very happy with having Dee focus full time on avoiding contact.

Dee Williams - #3 - DL (designated leper)

Offense: Flip a coin between Keyton and McCoy
Defense: I really need the youngster from Nashville, Elijah Simmons to show up and show out this year.

I am actually liking Keyton as the breakout offensive player. Quietly been very good for us. Heupel seems to pull a WR from out of nowhere, Hyatt nor Tillman were expected to do much the years they rose to the prime spot. He already gets on the field plenty, always seemed to be pretty clutch, plenty of experience.

on defense, I liked someone's suggestion about Baron, or maybe Omari.

I think the freshman will show up, but I am expecting to see some older guys pop as well with the development they have been getting. I could even see a defensive back surprising us after every single one missed last spring.
