Oh, so these models of good behavior should be shielded from the truth, Freak??
I'll go back and edit my post ONLY because I respect you as the leader of this board, NOT because I changed my mind. These "kids" who are getting a free ride through school on my contributions and tax money should be in the dadgum BED at 5:30 or at the very LEAST, studying.

I wouldn't say neither one of these guys are thugs they both mean well, they just made a mistake. Hopefully they are mature enough to learn from them which they should be.

Kids? Yes. Do we all make mistakes? Yes.

The troubling thing is that over the last 2 years there have been way too many of these incidents. Like it or not, student athletes are not regular students. They are representatives of the University. The number of these incidents begs for a stronger emphasis on appropriate behavior by the coaching staff.

Sure all programs have trouble but lately, we are setting the standard. :bad:

I didn't say you had to edit your post LIO. I just don't think we should be calling them names, that just my opinion... you all don't have to agree (and I didn't mean to sound like I was singling you out ;). I don't agree with what these kids did but these guys are going to make mistakes. It does seem like more an more things happen to our guys lately and you almost have to wonder if the coaches aren't doing their part.

well, here is a wild shocker.

everything that lio has said tonite is right on the money. i totally 100% agree with her in everything.

bad mistakes u guys. if they make poor decisions like that off the field then think of the decisions they will make on it.

this is another black mark against this school.

just ashame.

by the way. hey utvolfan. is the avatar ur old lady? if so very nice.

Not to jump to conclusions here but there is at least the potential for a link between an increase in off-field problems and inconsistency on the field. At times over the last 3 years or so we've all felt that the Vols did not play with discipline and a team mentality.

Is it too much to ask that the Fulmer administration work on these problems with the same effort they put into recruiting. Think of the upside :rocks:

Are they supposed to smile in a mug shot? No...everyone's gonna look bad in a mugshot,...you're mad cuz you're there.

Do I think they should be kicked off? No. It was a fight, and a misdemeanor charge. Hockey players fight every game on the ice, and we encourage it...

Should they be suspended for a while? Yes.
