I'm tired of every poster claiming they know somebody that knows somebody about Gruden being a done deal. Is this even true? If this is true why hasn't ESPN confirmed it? Also what does Brent Hubbs say about our chances with Gruden?
I posted this to refrain from posting in the Gruden Cliff Notes.
My question is, if this is not done and dead, why has Gruden not come out and squashed it personally?

It's like someone said about 3452 threads back ... Gruden likes the attention. Which I have to agree with. The last time his name was up for the Tennessee job it was a few weeks before he even said anything.
Also, if Hubbs is correct, and Hart is looking at Stoops, Fisher and Golden first, that really sucks.

I have a difficult time believing that Hart was able to get the concession from Cheek on AD $ without booster backing. I assume that Hart and the shot callers are on the same page. If it turns out that a group of boosters was ready to serve up Gruden and Hart instead hires someone on the level of Golden, they might as well cancel the program.Hubbs backtracked a lot tonight. Said hart hasnt pursued gruden but boosters have. Those boosters have since backed off gruden.

I don't think Hart is going to be bullied around by the boosters. They hired him for a reason. If anyone remember Haslam was the one that personally sent the plane to pick up Dooley to bring him to Tennessee. So should Haslam be brought into the conversation about who really wanted Dooley to begin with.
That's not fair at all.
Lane Kiffin left 20 days before NSD and no coach wanted to take the job at the last second.
We were turned down by like 10 coaches before Dooley accepted. It wasn't for lack of trying to get a better coach, the time just made it impossible for a good hire.
This won't go well.........
