I'm happy for him. You never know what kind of problems you are going to run into these days with the Clearinghouse. Let's go VOLS!!!

So now we have one reciever who runs a 4.2 forty, was the third reciever at FSU as a true freshman, and....as I've seen on film...has spent the last year just blowing away junior college level players....AND...we have another reciever who is 6'2" 190, runs a 4.3 and has spent a year at one of the best prep schools in the country playing against some of the best recruits in the nation who just couldn't make the grade the year before.

To me it looks like our WR's might not be as bad off as some think. Here we have two burners who aren't straight out of highschool....so the adjustment might not be as hard as some expect. And....IMO....WR is the one position were pure athleticism can over-rule inexperience. If a guy runs a 4.2-4.3 forty and has the quickness to go with it (i.e. the ability to make sharp cuts and therefore run precise routes)....all he needs then are the hands and he's good to go.

I for one feel comfortable with our receivers next year. None of them will be a Meach...but between them all and Ainge's arm our passing game will be a strength.

Well, you can rest assured that we don't have anyone that actually runs a 4.2. And although I like the receivers we are bringing in, history is not kind to freshmen receivers. Being a receiver isn't all about running streaks.

With Ainge and Cut, I'm sure we can be average at worst, but if we want anything more than a courtesy Citrus appearance, they'll need to be a lot better than that.

It isn't all about running streaks, but Cut's system is kind to young or inexperienced WRs. It is about timing and QB/WR connection. That can be established within a month.

i think it is better for freshmen to room together. let all the new guys get acquainted (sp?)
