Brian Kelly interview

I think he's done well, but to have success at a big time program, he needs to pull in far better recruiting classes. I'm sure the fact that he is at Cincinnati makes it much harder to recruit.

Unless Kelly can follow the Urban Meyer example and win with what ND has on hand (kids who were recruited to play a pro-style offense), this just does nto make much sense. It is going to take Kelly a few years to recruit the types of players he needs to execute his spread option.

Exactly. Notre Dame is setting themselves up for a big mess if they hire this guy. He's not going to be a quick fix like they so desperately want, and need. We wouldve been in the same boat had we hired him, or Leach. ND needs to hire someone like Harbaugh, or hell even Fulmer.

Sarcasm? I really don't think Fulmer would be a quick fix, or a fix at all for that matter.

Kind of in jest... but at the same time, none of the rumored coaching candidates seem like a quick fix. I suggest someone like Fulmer because of the traditional aspect of him and his coaching tendencies. Brian Kelley, Urban, Stoops etc. all are more of a spread offense, which I personally don't see as a quick fix.. But then again, I'm not a coach:crazy:

Kelly would work if he can recruit the players they need. He would have to hire a top notch (experienced) defensive staff though.
