Brian Kenny is an idiot.

I was just trying to make the point that any team in a hostile environment is going to have problems

I'm sure they have a cute little stadium with loud fans. Petrino and the team are putting out a nice product that gets the crowd excited. Good for Louisville.

I guess what I was getting at is if they play in such a wild and raucus (sp?) stadium such as Papa John's, 45 or so thousand shouldn't be enough to mess with'em. Oh well.

Big East is having a good year, been smart to schedule Thursday night games because they are getting lots of pub/press.

Big East even has a few pretty good, not great, but pretty good teams.

But don't suggest they are on par with the SEC. None of Louisville, WVA or Rutgers would go better than 5-3 in the SEC. Sure, they are good enough to beat several SEC teams if they play well enough, but all of the above would absolutely lose a few of the matchups against Tennessee, Florida, Georiga, South Carolina, LSU, Auburn, Arkansas, and Alabama.

Top to bottom, the SEC is FAR superior. And I'm sure Papa Johns is a fun environment, but with a small open ended stadium you can not possible recreate the atmosphere you get at Tennessee, Florida, Georiga, South Carolina, LSU, Alabama or Auburn.

I'm not necessarily trying to steal your thunder, its been a great year for the Big East, but they have a long way to go to be remotely comparable to the SEC.

I think Louisville has the best home field advantage in probably the whole country. Big papa's oven is a great place for college football. Granted its not as big as Neyland or at Michigan but it's a hostile environment for away teams. I do hope a Big East team plays an SEC team in a bowl but the proof will be in the pudding and hopefully there will be less idiots talking about giving respect to this team and respect that conference.

This is your brain on drugs. Any questions?

Best home field advantage in the country??? 107k in Knoxville, Saturday night in Baton Rouge, The Swamp, Meechigan...Papa John Stadium just doesn't quite fit in this category.

Seriously I'm starting to think Big East fans are gettin crazy.

I can take the we're a good conference this year jazz. Because they're somewhat of an alright conference. Still not even comparable to the SEC "on the field". You can give me numbers all day but Rutgers has D linemen that are as big as I am (I stand a solid 6'0 225) and linebackers that are even smaller and slow as tight ends. While the SEC has linebackers that could be star running backs in the Big East.

Anyway like I said I can at least hear them out when they say their a "good" conference......

But when they start talking about stadiums and things of the such thats when they are getting real crazy.

Their insanity is somewhat justified. Rutgers can win the Big East, finish undefeated, and not get a shot at the national title. I'd be flipping out, as well. I don't think Rutgers necessarily deserves a shot, but if I were a Big East fan, it would upset me to know that my team really doesn't have a chance.
