I was just wondering if anybody had any news on Randolph and his recovery from his ACL tear? I don't know if this has been talked about already or not. We will need him big time this upcoming season and was just wondering how he is coming along. I know some players take longer to heal then others both physically and mentally, just hoping he is close to 100%

Comments from reporters observing practice indicate they're taking it slow with him but he passes the eye test...sounds good on him as starting free safety

Ladarrel Mcneal (sp) talks about him in his interview after practice. Basically said they are competing for the same spot

Why? Are they not the best safety tandem with Brewer at LB?

Who am I missing that will be at the other safety spot?

I was pleasantly surprised with how much of his old self Hunter was able to get back after his ACL tear, lets pray the same for Randolph. Always thought he was the steal of his recruiting class.

Moore? I really think the season he had last year is because he was continually put in bad situations by our DC. Could be wrong but I hope I'm right.

You could see the talent there and throughout our D last season if your head isn't right because of bad coaching...it shows..(shudders with memories)

Having 3 safeties is a good problem to have. I see LB depth as the biggest defensive concern, after corner play that is.

I think Hunter healed faster physically then he did mentally. You could tell he was playing worried a lot of the time, but knowing that you are going to get paid will do that to you.

Hunter's problem last year was that he dropped too many good passes. He didn't avoid contact any more than Patterson avoided contact, except Patterson was more successful at running around defenders. Hunter back pedaled at times to avoid a sure tackle, then tried to run around them for extra yardage. When he had no place to go, he went straight ahead. He never went down until he was taken down. All the talk about him avoiding contact is just stupid gossip, and I wish people would stop posting it.

How could their heads be right when they often did not know what to do? That had to be a bad feeling, but those guys never complained.

You and I recall Hunter's season a little different then because I remember plenty of times when he caught the ball and went straight down when defenders were near him. He did drop a lot of passes though, the most critical one was against Florida that would of put that game away.

Your memory of the Fla game is definitely failing you. As painful as it might be rewatch it and you will see that you are wrong.

False. 100% false.

Come on Justin, you should quit posting here and focus on your skills and training before the draft.

This could not be any further from the truth. You CANNOT be serious.

Freshman All-SEC, former Gatorade Player of the Year in Georgia, played well his freshman year (obviously)....yea lets hope Randolph comes back strong. I always thought his injury was the biggest factor in our poor performance in the secondary. He has the potential to be great and to be a real anchor back there. GBO!
