Nice pics, CC. Like my first grade teacher once told me, thanks for sharing!

On the subject of the "football game in a race track:"
1) why the heck would we want to play there?, and
2) has anyone looked at the dimensions of the place compared to a football field?

********
Bristol Motor Speedway, Bristol, Tenn.
"World’s Fastest Half Mile," 0.533-mile concrete oval
Degree of banking in corners: 36 degrees
Degree of banking in straights: 16 degrees
Straightaways: 650 feet long.
Concrete racing surface is 40 feet wide.
Seating capacity: 160,000
********
Here's a diagram of how little the field would be (and how far away YOU would be from the action): (this is rough, but in scale)

Okay then, how about having a race while a football game was going on?

I hope we don't get into this because the next thing you know, they would be wanting to have games at every racetrack on the NASCAR circuit.

Race at racetracks and play football on football fields! :twocents:

I would love to beat Va. Tech's ass at Bristol. It would be cool to see 160,000 college football fans at one place. JMO. Charley you got got any more Bristol pic's of your ole lady?

I'd like to see a lot of races to the goal line this year, hopefully all led by an orange and white "pace car!"

The A-10's flew over my house on their way to BMS. Real low, almost made out a couple markings. They actually went by twice, the first time they turned around because they would have been too early for the fly-by.
