Brits 'Cut and Run"?

The United States has no better friend than England. England has been by our side throughout this war. Tony Blair has supported us even at the expence of his own political career. As for Prince Harry, he's a hero in my book. He chose to go to this war. He was not forced to go into this war, he volunteered to go. So before anyone gives the young man a hard time think about how many Bush, Clinton, Kennedy, Pelosi, Reid, etc. kids are going over to fight for their country. Princes William and Harry have had some growing pains since Diana died thats for sure. And they have both been in their fair share of trouble (Harry especially) but nobody can call this young man a coward. I for one am gratefull to England for their support and sacrifice they have made for our country during this terrible war. I am proud to be a cousin to the English people.

We have a volunteer military. All active duty soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines enlisted or re-upped not before February 2003.

There was little to no doubt in February 2003 that we would be fighting a war in Iraq...and we were already fighting a war in Afghanistan. On top of that, Bush had already made his infamous "Axis of Evil" State of the Union address, which should have sent a signal that we might also be fighting wars against North Korea and Iran.

Soldiers soldier. I really do not need to hear about their absence from their family, for 12 to 18 months (ask WWII Vets about the length of their 'tour'), from a civilian.

If the soldier does not want to fight this war, then the soldier can serve the remainder of his contractual obligation in Kansas.
Are you saying you dont need to here about it from me?

I am saying that I don't need to hear soldiers piss and moan and "whoa is me". Most of the soldiers in Iraq do not even leave the wire around their FOB. Yet, these REMFs are the ones who are always making noise and questioning the cause. Rarely, are the infantry soldiers, Rangers, Recons, and Scouts crying about an 'unjust war.'

So, if I don't need to hear about it from fellow soldiers, I definitely don't need to hear about it from civilians.
