Brock Lesnar fight tonight...

They don't match up very well. The same guy has won both of their fights easily.

Yep. Liddell is a nice match-up for Jackson. In the first fight, Rampage pressed him all over the ring...he pounded him, he mounted him, he punished him. In the second fight, Jackson just pressed him and knocked him out.

Liddell is uncomfortable in the ring with Rampage. Quinton establishes himself in the middle of the octagon and stalks Liddell. Rampage has been the aggressor in both fights, while Chuck's only hope was to land a nice counter punch. It didn't work either time...I don't know why it would work in a third fight.

I only recently began watching MMA, but having watched boxing for years, I could easily see another Rampage victory in the second fight. I didn't think it would happen as quickly as it did but I also didn't think Liddell would screw up as badly as he did.

Now Rampage v. Henderson is harder to call, they are two very good fighters who matchup well with each other.

The next big fight Liddell should count on is Wanderlei Silva, and I would love to see it on the same card as Jackson v. Henderson, that would be a helluva night of fighting.

Rampage v. Henderson is going to be an interesting fight. For Rampage, there are a lot of positive similarities to this fight and his fights with Liddell...Rampage will again be the bigger, more powerful fighter...he's also significantly younger (29 this month) than Henderson (36). Jackson's advantages will be his slams and his knockout power -- but it's worth noting that Henderson has never been knocked out.

Henderson can't stand with Rampage and expect to win the fight...He's a former Olympic wrestler, who'll have an advantage on Jackson if he can take him down and keep the fight on the ground. His wrestling and Brazilian jiu jitsu will give him the upper hand.

My brain tells me that Dan Henderson should win the fight...but my gut says that Henderson will be a little bit overmatched at 205 lbs. and Rampage will KO him for the first time in his career.

I look forward to a Liddell v. Silva match-up...but you can be sure that Dana White will use that as a main event on a separate ppv from Jackson v. Henderson.

I think Liddell would win. Silva's struggled in his last handful of fights. He's been caught by big punches and big kicks...he's been KO'ed a couple of times, and lost a unanimous decision to Arona. It seems as though his body is wearing down after the 31 fights he's had over the past 10 years. Perhaps if he rests, and doesn't fight again until November or December, he'll be ok...but right now, I'd give Liddell the advantage. I could see Chuck moving past Silva and getting a matchup with the Henderson/Jackson winner.

Brock-Angle:

This fight will only happen if Angle passes an NSAC physical. Remember, nobody is pulling their punches or slams in MMA. Angle's neck has never been "right" since before 'Mania 19.

Skill wise, NOBODY realizes how good Angle is. He will be, without a Doubt, the BEST wrestler to ever enter the Octagon. people almost disregard it because Angle has overused the hell out of it, but he won an OLYMPIC Gold Medal, as well as being the smallest (at under 225 lbs) two-time Heavyweight Champ in NCAA history.
I have personally seen (at a wrestling camp) Angle take a 275-300 pound college kid and launch him from one end of a regulation wrestling mat , making the kid land on his butt on the OTHER side, 45 feet away.
The question will be his Chin--Brock's best chance will be to catch him with a heavy punch or kick.

Rampage-Hendo:

if Rampage fights the way he did against Matt Lindland, combined with the boxing improvements he's had since he got Juanito, I see Page by TKO in the 2nd. Hendo is a BAD mofo himself, and is probably the most dangerous matchup for Rampage until Shogun shows up.

I agree with you....No one in MMA (past or present) can match Angle's ability as a wrestler. If his chin is solid, he could be a force in MMA. Only time will tell if he ever enters the ring...but I, for one, am hoping he does.

Correct. I would have serious reservations about Angle's ability to pass a physical.
