Marques Hagans maybe get the promotion?
Random but I used to love playing with Virginia online games when was rivalry showdowns EA sports would do. Everyone always picked Marcus Vick and Virginia Tech Mikes little brother. And I like playing with Hagans and they had 2 solid tight ends. Again I know random but hadnt thought about that name in a long time.

He wasn't on hot seat was he?

Sadly when a coach resigns out of the blue and not known that was forced out. 2 things. Either health problems or something unethical happened whether violations or like harassment or inappropriate relationship of a female staffer. Hope its none of those things and he just wants to retire. But odd to resign with no details known by anyone.

Eh I think that’s maybe overthinking it. Bronco is from all accounts a good dude. These guys make so much money now if they feel burned out they can step away. Bob Stoops, Chris Petersen are two examples.

I think you’re reading too much into it. There are some rumors on UVA boards that the AD wanted him to make staff changes, especially on defense, and he refused and decided to resign instead. I don’t particularly buy that either. Using the Wizard of Oz, Bronco can best be described as a “horse of a different color.” I honestly believe him when he says that he’s just wore out and needs to recharge.

He’s been a head coach for 17 consecutive seasons at that two places that are not easy to recruit. I definitely think it’s possible he needs a recharge or wants to do something else.

Right from the start, but was an extremely odd hire on both sides of the puzzle. Unsure, what they were trying to achieve there

I thought he was pretty good for them. Seemed better during the ride than the eventual 36-38 result.

Mike London really put them behind the 8 ball. I thought Bronco did fine but I thought he might be able to get them a couple 10 win seasons.

Neal Brown will be on the warm seat (if not hot) starting next year. There were a lot of disappointed Mountaineer fans this season and they finished at 6-6 in his 3rd season. I think he saved his job at the end of the year which included beating a poor Texas team. I don't think they'll cut him as much slack next year.

This surprised me. However sounds like a bad case of burnout. Easy to see how that happens. If you're a competitor and feel like you're just spinning your wheels, pretty easy to look up one day and think, "what's the %$#@ing point?"

I believe Tony Elliot is in the mix for this job. Might be an interesting off season for Clemson. First the AD leaves. Several of their coordinators are up for HC jobs.

Has Radakovich officially accepted it? I’m not sure how good he even is. The only program on campus that is rolling is football and he didn’t hire Dabo. Basketball is mediocre and he didn’t hire Brownell and he hasn’t cut him loose. His only major hire to date, is Monte Lee, in baseball, and he’s done well in the W-L columns but can’t make it out of the regionals despite 3 of his 4 NCAAT appearances coming at home. Miami is desperate if they’re paying $3M period, let alone to a guy who’s spent the last 9 years riding a wave of football success and little more.
