If anything, Pearl is teaching his players a lesson that when u mess up, u fess up and not keep the lies going. Posted via VolNation Mobile
I really like this one. Pearl lied to teach his players a lesson regarding admitting you lied after the fact. To tell a lie in the first place is fine, just be sure you fess up and don't keep the lie going, especially when you know you have been caught in the lie. A remarkable effort in teaching his players a lesson
Is that how you read it? Maybe you should take another look. I made sure to re-quote to give you another shot. I said, If anything, he is teaching his kids a lesson, that you dont wait until you get caught to tell the truth, you tell the truth bc it's the right thing to do.
I never said it was ok to lie, however, he obviously didnt think it was ok to lie either, bc he came back and told the truth. Without being caught. He did it bc he knew he had made a mistake. Just like you did when you misinterpreted my statement.
The reason I said it was bc that is something I teach my sons. Lying is never "ok", but if you tell the truth of your own free will without being caught, you will get in less trouble than if you get caught in a lie.
You still will get in trouble bc you lied in the first place, however, the punishment will be less severe than if I had caught you lying.
He conscious got the best of him, not the NCAA investigators.
Next time, try reading a bit more carefully, and not attack bc in your first glance through, you thought you saw something you could attack on.
