I miss players who would want to cry after a loss like this and who would circle the wagons and play defense until they fell over.

Jajuan smith...scotty hopson needs your heart transplant.

Also someone needs to contact the x files because aj ogilvy and now tyler smith became women. Hopefully tylers disappearance only lasts 1 game.

Give me Major Wingate over the Wayne Chism I have seen this year. A big man who wants to live on the perimeter disgusts me. We need one thing, hard workers and not the pansies we have at the moment

I also hate Pearl's rotations. Bobby Maze had two straight steals right before the half but brings in good 'ol Melvin Goins to the rescue immediately after that.

BTW, who taught Goins & Tatum to shoot FT's? Tyler Smith left his body & mind back on campus this game. He looked uninterested from the tip. :eek:hmy:

I thought the same thing.

I've never been a big fan of Pearl's because he relies too much on the three and that's sunk us at some point every year, but this was just a horrific game - utterly pathetic on all fronts.

Williams was trash talking to Lewis for USC. Isn't he a good one to talk trash? Boy, he's certainly good enough to back it up. Yeah right! At least Williams has now found his role for the team. :p

Once the rest of the team finds their non-basketball related roles then we're contenders! :birgits_giggle:

It's one loss--lots of teams have a bad game. UT will still finish high in the SEC and make a good NCAA run!!!

It is one game. However, this game showed the same deficiencies that has plagued a Tanning Bed coached team for the past few years.

I've got a bad feeling that some of the Pearlites who are expecting the switch to be flipped are going to be in for a very rude awakening.

This is why your basketball knowledge is questioned, and rightfully so. Stop trying to spin it to positive by trumping up USC better than they are. They are a bad team, even with Garrity. Do you seriously think any other TRUE Top 10 team would have been embarrassed like that yesterday?

It's not one loss, it's the result of what many here have been complaining about the past 5 games. That we've been playing poorly, yet those performances were excused by the Pearlites because "Meh...we won. That's the most important thing".

Well now the same crappy performance continues and we're embarrassed by a team that had no business embarrassing us, and instead of guys like you saying "You guys were right, we have some glaring problems", you turn into happy go lucky "It's just one game, Pearl will fix this!".

When are you going to wake up...it's NOT ONE GAME! He hasn't fixed these problems from last year, why should be suddenly believe he'll get it fixed in 2 weeks?

I've never had a bad thing to say about CBP, but that game last night was just horrible. Maybe it was just a bad night for Tennessee, the girls got stomped to......To the number two team in the nation. Anyways, I will give Bruce a slip here if he comes out and plays good against our next few opponents. We have a tough OOC schedule coming up with Memphis, Kansas, and someone else.

Look, I think the fact that you said "TRUE top 10 team" shows why I lump you into a group that is not worth caring about opinion wise. Before losing to Old Dominion was Georgetown a candidate for TRUE top 10? What about Wisconsin who lost to wisc green bay? What about michigan state losing to florida? Villanova losing to unranked Temple? You will define true top 10 to suit your ends and that is laughable. When huggins group loses to Ole Miss or Purdue I wonder if you will call them true top 10.

Name the best 10 teams in mens CBB now.

And yes, I was angry at the worst game I have seen since Pearl came to UT but I do not think that he is the only coach who has a top 10 team that is reliant on 3 pointers.

I think I am now on board with the majority who are concerned that absent a reasonable half court offense there is no way we can advance in the tourney because we will have a cold night and have no plan B.

By the way BPV, k'o'neill claimed we had 3 first rounders. He is the lou holtz of CBB. If they dominate the pac 10 he will remind us that the Pac 10 is not good.

I can say with 100% confidence he knows exactly what his team is. I love how people are acting like the addition of a guy who couldn't get on the floor for Charlotte has suddenly made SC a quality team.

Do you really think this team can win 10 conference games? We are likely to finish 1-3 in our next four games.
